The Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Fan (model DCF203Z) is a powerful and portable solution for painters, contractors, and more. It has three settings for optimal air velocity control. It can be powered by Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries or an AC adapter. The fan automatically oscillates 45° right and left and manually tilts 90° up and 45° down for convenience redirection of air flow.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star protection Computer controls™.     The fan works fine. It does use a lot of battery power so it takes two batteries for a warm sticky night of operation. A little involved in that I have to run a gas generator for an hour or two to recharge the Makita batteries and other items like cell phones. I find all the add on Makita battery power tools a little expensive relative to other brands but they are durable. This item is not the same build quality and complexity as a portable drill or saw but is priced the same so that drops a star for me.
