The single section is great, sturdy, well made. However, the consistency of this track is something you can't expect, which means linking two of them to get a longer track is something you should avoid. I got three of them, non of two can align properly, that's caused my track saw is tight on one and loosen on another. That makes it impossible to get an accurate cutting line on your track rail rubber. My advice is going with the 118-inch version if you want longer cutting capacity, do not waste your money on second track. You have been warned!

    I have a small shop so a large table saw is out of the question. The Makita track saw option has ben working great! Easy to use, set up and break down and takes up a fraction of the space of a traditional table saw.
    I purchased 2 of these tracks and they are very well made and as I said earlier set up is a snap.
    With 2 you can rip a sheet of plywood quickly, one is perfect for cross cutting a full sheet.
    If your needs are similar to mine, you won't be disappointed. As for the value for money...they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and they are well made.

    This size is great for cross cutting sheets of plywood. Seems odd, but now I use my big table saw for little pieces of wood, and my little Makita track saw for big sheets of wood. It's faster, easier, more precise, a bunch less work.

    For long cuts, you must join two of these together with a joiner kit or buy a LONG track. Paying the freight makes one consider joining two. So does having to fit the thing in your truck.... I have two of these I keep joined together and a third I use as a single. Taking the two apart is easy, but realigning them and putting them back together take a few minutes.

    These tracks are perfect to operate the Makita track saws. Necessary to cut in a super straight line. One section is 55” so 2 are required to cut an 8’ length of plywood. They do NOT come with the hardware to attach two sections together, this is sold separately as are the clamps.

    I'm a casual home DIYer so I picked up the very affordable WEN CT1065 track saw and was happy to see it's perfectly compatible with this Makita track (which was a very well-reviewed track). The track is affordable and well built - I would also recommend adding the clamps to your order too as I'm just not sure how confident I am with the pads on the bottom of the track holding it in place when I need absolute precision!

    My only disappointment is that I'd like to buy a second track and join it with this one for 8' sheet rip cuts, but Makita has made the small joiner rails an absolute RIP OFF of a price at over half the price of the track itself for the two small pieces of metal to join it with another!
