Answer: This can be done in many ways. Solution 1: You can use a thin plastic card to carefully lift the mount from the mounting surface. Slowly lift up and remove the mount. Solution 2: Or you can use fishing wire or floss to wrap around base, gently move back and forth.

Answer: It will not damage your mounting surface if with the correct using ways. Please kindly noted, the mounting tape is one-time use. If you want to remove it from your car, it will not stick again and you need to change the mounting tape.
Question 3: What's the secret to ensure it stick tightly enough on the dashboard?
-Ensure that there is no dust or oil on the mounting area.
-Do not leave fingerprints on the 3M sticky tape.
-When applying, please make sure that the temperature of the flat surface and the sticky gel should be above 68℉, or you may soften the 3M VHB tape under the heating air before installation.
-Press for 8-10 seconds after pasting and use after 24 hours of pasting.
