Don't use these if your scanner loads slides vertically
These aren't any good. You could probably make them work if the scanner you're using slides them in horizontally. But they don't hold the slides tightly enough. So when I put them in my scanner, the slides slip out of place, leaving all my captures with an ugly black band down one side, and a slice of the image missing down the other. There's probably a way to modify them so that the frames stay in place, but that shouldn't be necessary.

    Tracks are somewhat difficult to open up but work well and accommodates various thicknesses of slides. So I bought this for my 86 year old dad because he has about 40 carousels of slides dating from about 1962 to 1980 or so. Over the years these slides were either framed in cardboard or plastic. Some of the plastic ones have different thicknesses. These thicker plastic ones do not fit in the single feeder tray that comes with the Magnasonic slide scanner. This made us have to buy these tracks which work well but are difficult to open, especially for seniors. What I ended up doing was filing down the center tab where it catches and now is almost effortless to open. This made Dad so much happier. I wish these came with the unit because it is a slide scanner after all. Should come in as a complete package. But they work fine now and it made the entire purchase worthwhile. He is enjoying the years of memories while he loads his pics onto a computer. Saving closet space now

    We recently bought a Magnavox slide and 35mm negative converter to make digital files of my wives childhood. The single adapters that come with it work but limit the ability to process a lot of slides and negatives. These adapters are the answer to scanning a lot of items and are easy to use and reload. If you have a Magnavox scanner you should really consider these as they are a nice upgrade and time saver. Well built, fit the scanner as intended.

    If you’re using any of the Magnasonic slide to digital converters, you’ll want this accessory for your 35 mm slides. It’s fiddly to load but at least it will hold the slides in place. The single 35 mm slide holder provided with the viewer/converter is quite useless in my experience.
