- Reviewed in Canada on September 14, 2024Verified PurchaseExactly as described. Perfect for my needs. The bag is well constructed and is of good heavy duty quality. Highly recommended.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 7, 2024This carrying case is, by far, the largest I own, in terms of both its 1-metre length and its capacity. Its build quality is very good. It features a seemingly durable woven exterior, ample padding, and a smooth (possibly nylon) lining. It also incorporates hand-carry handles with a padded grip and a detachable padded shoulder strap whose swivels and other fittings are made of metal. Its moveable zip closures and their pull tabs are also made of metal, though the closures' fixed, sewn-in portions have plastic teeth.
It offers impressive interior storage. Inside are three sleeves that can each store a tripod, monopod, or light stand. The sleeves inner surfaces are smooth and their exteriors seem to be made of the same durable material as the case's exterior shell. The case is long and broad enough to carry umbrellas as well. The interior also contains a zippered pocket that is suitable for relatively thin items.
Its exterior storage is also very good. Both sides of the case feature a zipped exterior pocket. The two exterior pockets enable gear organization and are wide enough to accommodate contents like LED light panels, collapsible diffusers, mounting hardware, small tripod heads, tools, plamps, a thin folding backdrop, etc.
Whether this carrying case is right for you really depends on your application. Someone seeking to transport a single tripod and little else might find this case to be excessively large and bulky. Personally, for single-tripod transport, I would use one of my smaller cases instead. Rather than being a "tripod" case, I consider it to be a "multiple-support" case. That is, I think it is best suited for photographers or videographers who need to transport one or more tripods/monopods plus one or more light stands and their associated accessories. So, I see it as being a great case for a videographer or portrait/product photographer who often works outside of a studio. Likewise, I believe it would be a good choice for a road trip involving both landscape and nature photography with a tripod, monopod, and associated accessories. Put simply, this case is a tool and the right tool for a job is always determined by the job's nature. If you need a case that can transport multiple supports and accessories, this case could serve you very well.
Overall, I am very pleased with this carrying case. It has a good design, is well made, and allows lots of gear to be transported in an organized manner. Its high capacity should serve the needs of someone who needs to transport a lot of gear very well -- but it might be overkill for someone who just wants to carry a single tripod. So, at its current price of $49.99, I consider it an excellent value for someone who has a lot of gear to transport.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 31, 2024Not bad at all. I was expecting (at this price point), some less than mediocre product . . . much to my surprise, this is really well made and thought out.
Good quality full length zip, straps that go around the entire case (yay!), and a couple of those pockets to appease the gee-gaw buyers.
Inside there are three sleeves to isolate and give some order to the package. Not too bad at all. It serves well for a few small to medium weight lightstands. The exterior has minor padding to help protect the goodies you put into it.
It is definitely an amateurish type of bag designed for someone who is off to photograph whatever the flavour of the day is. There is a shoulder strap, well made . . . and I can't stand those things. They are included to fill out the rough and tumble, go everywhere, I really wanna pretend that I am a photographer type. . . . . When you have a tripod or two, or a few lightstands and bits and pieces thrown into a bag . . . it is not something that you should sling across your back . . . too heavy, and you will end up doing long lasting and permanent damage to yourself, your spine. Throw the shoulder strap away.
For the price it is a good bag . . . doesn't compare to a decent Lightware or Tenba case, but then, it doesn't cost in that rarefied air either.
Not bad at all. I am using it for a few lightweight Avenger stands as a day-to-day storage and grab bag.
Pretty good. I like it.

The materials used are just as good as my best bag. What sets this apart is the clever feature of one end being totally zippered so it can be left exposed to accommodate long stands. It's a better option than unzipping the main zipper running the length of the bag, I think.
The 3 long pockets to keep stands/tripods from scratching each other are generous in size. They stop short of the end of the bag with the zip off panel so the bulk of tripod heads and light stand end grips don't impede things. Of course the pockets can be ignored and additional items set in the bag to your liking.
On the exterior are two centered zip pouches. 30cm w x 15cm h x 3cm thick. Inside there is a zippered flat pouch, i.e. no depth for thick items.
4.0 out of 5 starsThe first thing that caught my eye while unpacking this tripod bag (I'll mostly refer to it as a bag) is the use of very bold red for highlighting some borders. It will distinguish this from the rest of the gear that is all black and when piled in the back seat of my car, gets to be tedious to separate visually. Ironically the only other bags and cases of mine that has colour trim is the heavy fabric bag that came with my pricey video tripod. So I will move around my equipment to have tripods in colour trim bags and light stands in plain black - it's a start.Thoughtful full end access for longer stands.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great as a sport kite bag
Verified PurchaseI am using this to hold rigid-frame sport kites. I chose it over name brand kite bags because I wanted this exact length, not something unnecessarily long, and it turns out the design is good in other ways too.
This bag will hold seven full size kites, more if some are smaller. The three internal sleeves keep things organized and there is room between them so its not necessary to put everything inside them. One external pocket holds six line sets on winders and a tail, the other holds a variety of straps and a pair of handles. The internal zip pocket I am using for repair tape, extra bridle line, and other small infrequently accessed items.
The pockets' location in the middle of the bag combined with its perfect length keeps everything well balanced for carrying by the handles. For longer walks I have added a second long strap so that I can wear it like a backpack, one strap on each shoulder, for full use of both hands and without the bag sticking out to the sides.
The bag doesn't open totally flat like a "kite roll" but that gives it more structure at the bottom end where I have added a piece of 1" thick closed cell foam for extra protection should I set the bag down hard. (The padding throughout the rest of the bag feels sufficient.) It still opens plenty wide to allow the kites to splay apart for full access. The circular zip at the top is handy for quick access to a single kite without spilling others or letting in dirt.
I am hard pressed to think of how this bag could be improved for my use other than the extra foam and strap already described. The coil zipper seems beefy and the stitching appears entirely adequate for a lightweight load of kites. If I discover any problems like allowing in or retaining beach sand I'll update this review. As it is I am extremely pleased.
