Quick Instructions (A more detailed physical instruction guide is added in each kit)

New epoxy floor garage concrete

1) New, uncoated concrete

New concrete must be allowed to cure for at least 30 days prior to epoxy coating application. Clean the concrete before applying the epoxy.

Damaged concrete floor epoxy

1.1) Previously coated concrete or damaged concrete

If your concrete was previously coated, we recommend to slightly sand it. If your concrete is damaged, you should repair any cracks or imperfections before applying the epoxy. Clean the concrete before applying the epoxy.

Mixing

2) Mixing

Our floor epoxy product use a 2A:1B mixing ratio by Volume. For example, if you pour 1 gallon of (A), you will need 0.5 gallon of (B).

We recommend to mix for about 1 minute when using a drill mixer (or 3 min. if mixing by hand) and scrape the sides of the bucket while mixing.

Squeegee floor epoxy

3) Application method

We recommend to in 100 square foot sections. Use a notched rubber squeegee and/or a 3/8" thick lint-free roller with a phenolic core (epoxy compatible). The recommended thickness is 8mils. Spread the product evenly across the entire section, move the squeegee gently and slowly to avoid trapping air bubbles in the epoxy film. Make all final passes parallel and in the same direction.

Do the following if you want to use flakes

Base coat floor epoxy

1) Base coat

Once your floor is fully prepared and cleaned, proceed with the initial floor epoxy resin base coat (you can also use our polyaspartic as the base coat) by using a roller or a squeegee to spread the epoxy across the floor. Use a floor epoxy pigment color that matches the primary flake color.

2) Throw flakes

Right after you do the base coat, cover the whole floor with our high quality flakes.

3) Remove extra flakes

After 8-12 hours, remove the extra flakes that did not adhere to the base epoxy coat with a scraper or shopvac.

Polyaspartic coat

4) Apply our epoxy or polyaspartic top coat product

Apply a top coat of our clear epoxy (or polyaspartic for an optimal resistance to UV, chemical spills and scratches) by using a roller or a squeegee.

PS: Do not leave the mixed parts A and B for more than 10 minutes in the bucket, it gets hard fast!

Floor Epoxy Drying times (at 21°C, 50% humidity)

Re-coat or topcoat 8-12 hours
Light foot traffic 12-24 hours
Full cure (heavy traffic) 7 days
Mixed viscosity 500-600 cps
