Got what I ordered and that's what matters. At times, ordering online has some "difficulties" in receiving the correct order but this time, it was correct. If you're looking to hit it big and try your luck then this is your product. There are a lot of potential pulls that could alleviate the cost of the box (depending what you paid for it). To break down the cards, just look at MTG sites or watch videos, I won't go in to detail of the chase hits or card types this review. The card quality was good, not great for my order. I went to a WPN LGS location prior and bought a box or five and the cards were slick, fanned well, and edges were clean. The boxes I got through 鶹 weren't bad but definitely different. A small amount of the non-foil cards stuck to the backs of cards and didn't slide very well but who's going to keep them stacked? Pull rates were ok, if you watch streaming breaks/openings then you'll get an idea of what to expect. This time around, it did not seem like streamer allocations were bloated. So here's a break down of multiple cases opened within a group. One or two boxes in a case WILL only have 1 mythic on the box and possibly only 1 surge foil of any rarity. Don't jump the gun and point fingers that whoever sold you the box resealed it. There are dud boxes, average was 1:7. If you're a die hard Final Fantasy fan, then this set is for you. If you're new to Magic: the Gathering, this set is for you. If you're a seasoned player, you can't ignore this set. Overall this is one of the more balanced stand alone sets I've seen in awhile. I think there are around 90 single print commanders you can use, I could be wrong but there are a lot ranging from single to triple mana colors. From counters to mill to cycling, the set covers a really good range. I'm glad this product did well from a collector and player stand point. For once, they got most of it right. Now where did they go wrong? Reprints in commander decks. As a player, I respect their inclusion of a lot of "staple" cards. But as a collector, it dragged down the prices of previous printing. But, if you've been in the game for the past 2+ years, you'll get used to it. I'd recommend buying the commander decks as a beginner, as they offer really well thought out decks. For non-commander deck products, it'll be really tough to find pieces to fill the gaps if you don't already have a decent library of cards. I haven't enjoyed a Universe Beyond set since Warhammer and this set matches the fun-factor and ability to add on to the deck as.
So why buy this product over other sets? Well its good for beginners and people starting to get in to the game, much like LotR. It brings people who are new to the game some familiarity and correlation to what and how they are playing. The art was amazing in my opinion and Through the Ages inserts brought back images from Final Fantasy games past. Should you buy a sealed Collector's Box or pack? As a new player no... use the money for one pack to buy a deck. Should you take a chance as a seasoned player/collector? Absolutely! Good luck on your pulls and if there's a card you want, especially a non-serialized chocobo - just buy it as a single. Your wallet will appreciate it. Doesn't make sense that any of the special colored chase Chocobos are worth the price of one collector's box at this time.
