I recently built a new system using the MSI MAG X870E TOMAHAWK WIFI, paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and G.Skill Trident RAM, and I have to say, this board is better than I expected! Everything is running smoothly and performance has been great out of the box. I really liked the EZ PCIe Release. Getting my GPU in and out was incredibly simple. One tip: If you're planning to use this board with a 9950X3D make sure you flash the BIOS to the latest version before installing the processor. I used the M-Flash feature via USB, and it was straightforward and necessary for compatibility. Overall, a solid, feature-rich board that handles high-end components perfectly once the BIOS is updated. Highly recommended!

Honestly pleasently surprised with the motherboard. I had an MSI board ages ago that gave me a lot of issues but so far this has been nothing but great. Solid I/O, VERY nice UEFI interface (the best I've tried so far), and effortless OC.

Building the system was super smooth, the motherboard has several little things like a button to release the first PCIe slot without having to fiddle with your fingers underneath your graphics card, and tool-less installation of M.2 SSDs.

I think given the situation with some other brands having either terrible support (looking at you, ASUS), or literally killing CPUs, MSI is probably the most solid option this generation. And in a world of incredibly expensive motherboards, this is a pretty good value compared to others.

Pros:
- Good looking
- Lots of features
- No issues putting everything together. All the connections are easily accessible. Comparing to X870 version, there is a ARGB spot at the upper right corner which makes connecting CPU cooler way easier.
- Bios is easy to use
- No stability issues as long as you don't undervolt.

Cons:
- Bugging bios (on the internet people are complaining about issues with USB, cyclic booting with the latest bios).
- Had a few issues booting usb for windows installation
- There seems to be stability issues with undervolting 9800x3D. I thought it was silicon quality of my CPU, so I exchanged it. After getting a second CPU, same thing, whenever I set curve optimizer to more than -10, it would fail AIDA 64 stress test. Looks like there are a few other people experiencing the same issues as well. It seems the Aorus boards are not having this issue.

Overall this is a great motherboard if you want to build a 9800x3d gaming rig. I would recommend it.

I really like how the pcie bifurcation is set up so the nvme slot wont slow down the graphic card's lanes. there are some minor issues such as M.2_1 not running at full speed and the ethernet port not working unless set to 2.5 Gbps, but hopefully those can be fixed with a new bios

I decided it was time for a new PC build after 8 years and researched a ton for all the parts. For the Motherboard I finalized it to this one, the MAG 870E Tomahawk, for both aesthetics and functionality. It comes with all the latest bells and whistles (WIFI7, Bluetooth, USB4, PCIe 5 and DDR5), which even if I don't make use of them all now, will probably need them down the line.

The looks and quality are top notch (I love matte black, non-RGB aesthetic, though wish there was a non-neon yellow accent) and setup was super easy. Only needed to use screwdriver for the CPU/Cooler installation, otherwise the EZ stuff takes just a few seconds.

BIOS is very straightforward and have had no issues running everything. No regrets!

I bought this for a new setup with an AMD 9800X3D, 64GB of 6000MT CAS 26 DDR5, an Nvidia 5090, and a whole boatload of Micron M.2s and SATA drives. Everything has worked flawlessly so far. Enabling EXPO for the DRAM didn't have any issues. I populated all of the M.2 and SATA ports without a problem. I haven't really tested the WiFi or bluetooth, but the appear to be working just fine. I did have pretty big scare getting the 5090 to work, but that was down to a faulty power supply.

All-in-all would recommend for the price I got it. I am a little nervous based on what I've heard to do some undervolting on the CPU, but I'll still be happy without that.

I used this motherboard to build a system with a 9950x3d, Nvidia 5090 RTX, MEG Ai1600T PCIE5, CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 96GB, SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Hard Drive in a Corsair 6500D case with noctua fans.

Everything went great, absolutely no issues, and everything is extremely stable with PBO enabled and -30 on curve optimizer, and the expo profile on the RAM enabled. I used OCCT to stress test.

I did have one minor hiccup with the 5GB Ethernet port. When I first plugged it in, it flat out didn't work. I turned everything off, including the power supply and back on. After doing that, the 5GB Ethernet port started working. I'm not sure why it happened, but it seems to be a common issue based on research. This only happened after the first start.
