About the author

Regina Marie Stockus was born in the exotic city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Lithuanian parents. She was raised and attended kindergarten in a convent school in the 鶹 Region of Brazil, igniting her great passion for adventure. At the age of 7, her entire family immigrated to Toronto, Canada, where she spent the majority of her life. After graduating from Western University in London, Ontario, with a Business Administration and Urban Planning degree, Regina bought and operated a hotel/restaurant in Grand Pointe, Ontario, in the Chatham-Kent region. She met many locals, gaining a greater understanding of this rural farming community and the importance of agriculture. Working with the Toronto Chinese Business Association, she was instrumental in helping to organize the annual Dragon Boat Races and Festival, which has become a very popular competitive sport. This also ignited her interest in traveling. Having the opportunity to work with CIDA and the Department of External Affairs, she was proud to represent Canada in various trade missions on tourism development. Her knowledge of China was enhanced when she was offered a post as a professor and lecturer at Huizhou International University in China in the departments of tourism development and hotel management. Writing has been a passion of hers from her early days in high school. Regina continues her writing and, to date, has written seven books and 3 textbooks on eco-tourism and quality control. She has traveled extensively to over 49 countries, which continues to inspire her many writings. As she pursues and expands into screenwriting, she hopes her books will be made into films under her film company, Marshland Films (Canada) Ltd. A communicative and community-oriented person, Regina hopes to contribute/enhance/improve communities via artistic experience and her writings. Being a fanatic researcher, she is not afraid to investigate newer and better ways to complete given tasks, especially exhibits and events. She often welcomes invitations to lecture on such subjects. An avid competitive sailor, the challenges faced in this sport inspire her imagination even more. Regina currently lives and works in Chatham, Ontario, Canada.
