About this item
- Artist Teabag Paper: Teabag paper is mainly made of plant fibers with good air permeability, strong moisture absorption. Through the design of patterns, color use,and processes, artist teabag paper is an ideal and unique painting material, offering more creative possibilities, and focus for artists.
- Lightweight and Acid-free: Featuring the wood pulp and vegetable fiber pulp, the teabag tissue paper is super thin and light with moderate water absorption. Suitable for painting with watercolor, acrylic, and other pigments. With its toughness characteristic,it can resist wet processing in various media even after being wet.
- Special Texture Effect: The paper is smooth and delicate on one side, and rough on the other. You can create unique texture effects on the surface of the tea bag paper through textural treatments such as crumpling, embossing, printing, etc., enhancing its artistic expression. You can also flatten the paper's unwanted wrinkles at low temperatures.
- Ideal Medium for Your Art: Thanks to the certain load-bearing capacity, the tea bag paper enables artists to create multi-layer paintings or collages, and also has a certain degree of transparency, allowing artists to overlay and merge different painting elements on the surface. A perfect medium for artists to express artistic ideas and explore material and formal innovation, combining artistic innovation with daily life to show their unique perspective on life, culture, and the environment.
- Large Size and Rich Quantity: 10 sheets of 11.8x79 inches (30x200cm) of paper, allowing you to cut to preferred working size. This immense size is ample enough to support your creation of magnificent large-scale artworks, fully displaying your creativity and talent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended For Gel Plate Printmaking & Collage
Verified PurchaseThis paper was recommended for gel plate printmaking. I am not so sure I like it. When you rub it on the plate the paint comes through and onto your hands. To remedy I put a piece of copy paper on top before I rub. I plan to use the paper in collage art so I am anxious to see how I will like working with it along with other papers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun to experiment with...
I'm always drawn to new and different art supplies. I had never heard of teabag paper and so this product caught my attention. This product was reasonably priced for the amount of paper received and it is convenient that I can cut the size I want.
So far, I'm only playing with it. It seems there may be some learning curve involved as it is a different sort of surface to work with. The photo above shows my first attempt to do something creative with it. Not sure what I'll do with it.
First, to describe the teabag paper, it has about the weight and feel of light tissue paper. It is white but only semi-opaque, so there are layering possibilities there. It is stronger than most papers of such light weight. It can tear - and did in my first experiment - but it is pretty sturdy. I could get it quite wet, first with acrylic inks and then water, tying it up like a tie-dye. It tore in one place, but that might be from my lack of experience with it, rather than a weakness in the paper. It is almost like a fabric in how it handles water. I look forward to more experiments!
I have never used this type of paper before so I have nothing to compare it to. However, it seems of good quality and is worth trying if you like to experiment with new art styles.

5.0 out of 5 stars AKA silkspan, fwiw
Verified PurchaseI wouldn't use this paper to make tea bags, it isn't quite strong enough and it ain't what I bought it for. I was looking for a product nobody seemed to have any more (at reasonable prices). Turns out, according to the Academy of Model Aeronautics, that "silkspan" was tea bag paper...a tissue with greater than average strength, wet or dry.
In use so far, it handles like lightweight silkspan, a little stronger than "normal" tissue but still lightweight. I'm using it on a Northrop XFT-1 in 3/4" scale (one of the most difficult models I've attempted, ever) and so far it's working great. Compatible with EZE-Dope, preshrinks well. Good stuff for us few remaining modelling nerds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Authentic tea bag paper - lovely for collage! ?
I am a mixed media artist and enjoy working with teabag paper. I have saved my own tea bags for collage. I was excited to find MLNSUNNY artist teabag paper for mixed media art. At first I thought the measurement was a typo, but it isn¡¯t. The product comes in 10 sheets that are indeed 11.8¡± x 79¡± long! It¡¯s safe to say, I will have plenty of teabag paper for my foreseeable collage making future. ??
I cut a piece that is roughly the size of a piece of copy paper. Then I dyed it with spray inks. It has been wet and air dried several times. The last time I spritzed it with water, I rolled it in paper towels to get the effect I was looking for. This is NOT tissue paper. It is teabag paper.
I photographed my MLNSUNNY dyed paper next to pieces of teabag paper I got from my kitchen. The two middle pieces on the right I dyed, the top and bottom pieces are undyed. MLNSUNNY teabag paper is nearly identical and will withstand multiple rounds of wetting, drying and blotting without tearing. You can¡¯t do this with tissue paper.
I am so happy to have larger pieces of teabag paper to work with! Actual tea bags are fun to use, but the smaller size does limit how you can use them. Now I can work with larger pieces of the same paper which really excites my inner artist. ??
