    A beautiful set and fun build! If you want some Joes and Cobras in your "Mega" collection, this is the set to get! I jumped at the chance to get the Iconic Skystriker jet with Ace and Duke and the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank with driver and Cobra Commander! Awesome! I sure hope this Collab continues and we get a Rattler and A.W.E. Striker in the next set! Crossing my fingers! :) get it!

    As a big Lego fan, I also keep an eye on Mega because they often experiment in interesting ways. For example, their minifigures have more joints and articulation. I bought this G.I. Joe set out of nostalgia for the cartoons I watched in my childhood.

    However, before I could even touch it, my eight-year-old son claimed it, even though he had no idea what G.I. Joe was. I sat down with him, explained the story, and showed him a few episodes, which only made him more excited. He tackled the project quickly and assembled the entire set in about two or three days.

    The set is very true to the original. G.I. Joe is from an era when cartoons were often created to help sell toys, and looking back, the show itself can feel a little cringy. That being said, it's a fond childhood memory, and I'm glad to have something in physical form to share with my son.

    Overall, this is a great value. If you're like me and want to bond with your children over something you can both enjoy, this is a great set to have.

    Like all mega sets, the build is thoughtful, the brick quality pretty high and the finished product looks super cool.

    AW THIS SET! My husband loved this set. I gifted it to him and he was so happy. The build quality was good (we live together so I literally watched him build this set with our six year old son. lol) for this set. On par with leading brand. If you are a fan of GI Joes and bricks then this set is for you. Honestly, the nostalgia alone is worth your bucks. Haha!

    The other half of the battle is composed of red and blue lasers. ;)

    This was a fun set to build. It really brought back some nostalgia from the late 80's and early 90's. The blocks are good quality, and the instructions were easy to follow. I really liked the figures and was kind of surprised that four were included. And much like the original toys that these models are based on, the GI Joe vehicle is far superior to the Cobra one. The HISS tank is comically boring compared to the Skystriker. But, I like them both. That disparity was part of the appeal until they started giving the bad guys the cooler stuff.

    That said, this is a fun set. I think any collector would love to get this as a gift.

    Packaging : In a box that looks like an old-school G.I. Joe set you get separate instructions for each vehicle and numbered bags. There are no stickers ; everything is printed. Canopies and the wings of the SkyStriker are wrapped in paper to prevent scratches / damage.

    Instructions : The instructions are large, well printed, and easy to follow.

    Parts quality : The parts are consistently of a very high quality in terms of fit and finish, and the canopy elements arrive nicely undamaged due to the paper wrap on them.

    Set design : The sets do a very good job of capturing the essence if not outright replicating the original toys. There's not a lot of really unique build techniques, and there's some 'extremely custom' parts in use, but the results are worth it.

    Overall thoughts : So ... I had both of these toys when I was a kiddo. The HISS tank is a really nice, if notably smaller version of the original that actually adds functionality as the original didn't have working treads. The Skystriker might not have the working lever to adjust the wings, but the wings are still adjustable and are linked to each other. The fact that you have to manually remove the landing gear instead of it being retractable is the other feature that isn't quite right, but it'd be impossible to do that effectively at this scale. The figures are dead on. I'm loving having these on display.

    This box looks so much like some of the vintage GI Joe toys I built with my dad in the 80s, I love being able to build these with my own kids now. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow, the builds go quickly and you wind up with fun toys with great replayability. My kids love building with bricks and playing with action figures and these MEGA blocks allow them to do both. I love the vintage call-backs and classic characters from a great show.
