- Reviewed in Canada on October 9, 2024Verified PurchaseFor this price I didn't expect such a great product. It works really well on both Windows and Linux, though I have not tried it on a Switch. The A/B switching functionality is really helpful for games that don't have re-definable control schemes, and the Xinput/Dinput switching is excellent. The manual is very detailed yet very simple to follow, and explains everything I hoped for in clear and concise steps.
The cord is nice and durable, and also very long. I have not had to reach for any extension cables when using this on my media center, which is surprising because the USB ports on it are in a really strange location.
The turbo feature is excellent, and while I don't use it personally since I don't like turbo, the individual button customization is excellent and works great.
My only "gripe" is that i only has 2 controller ports while most N64s have 4, but considering how well it works and how few games really use this, I really don't see this as too much of an issue.
I could not be happier with this, and am considering buying yet another one so I can connect all 4 controllers, and so I can do a LAN party with multiple PCs.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 11, 2023Verified PurchaseI just received this adapter for my nintendo switch to play Nintendo 64 titles with the Nintendo Switch Online + expension pack.
IMPORTANT: You need to updatet the adapter first with the latest firmware update available for this adapter on mayflash website. You need a computer for this. Follow their step by step guide it's really easy.
After that, just plug the adapter on the switch, make sure the "mode" light is at red colour, and press START+RIGHT(on D pad), hold for few second. This way, A=A and B=B. Otherwise they will be reversed.
After that, you have a completly functional original N64 controller on the Switch. No perceptible input lag and everything feel like playing on the original Nintendo 64.
Please, use original OEM Nintendo 64 controller and not cheap knockoff, theynare all bad. You can find them at your local retro gaming store or marketplace or ebay. Check for the joystick as most of them have been abused and are loose.

- Reviewed in Canada on March 24, 2023Verified PurchaseWorks perfect right out of the box - original Switch recognizes it right away, works as a real controller, you can navigate Switch menus, play the N64 emulator, and play other games as well. Manual is legible and accurate, zero lag after dozens of hours of use, worked exactly as expected. The home button is also convenient.
Setup is easy, it remembers this setting so you just need to do it once: hold Start + Dpad Right for 3 seconds, to map A & B properly. Then you're good to go!
The second I started using this in Goldeneye64, ALL my muscle memory came back like it was 1997 again. I was clearing 007 difficulties in no time, and enjoying online play with my friends!
Flawless bit of tech, great deal for the price, one happy retro gamer right here.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 1, 2023Verified PurchaseThe media could not be loaded.
The second thing you'll likely notice is that the A & B buttons are reversed by design, for some reason. To switch the A button to A, and B to B, press and hold the Button Start and D-Pad RIGHT for 3 seconds and the light will blink.
The third thing you'll notice is terrible input lag, as noted by other reviews. The input lag gets so bad that sometimes your buttons aren't detected at all, which makes it useless. See video.
I did not try it on PC, so it may work fine on PC.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 11, 2024Verified PurchaseTried several adapters to connect my N64 console to my Smart TV. Nothing worked (blue screen + no signal).
But this works perfectly for playing N64 emulators on Smart TV with N64 controllers! Thank you so much for this!!!

Reviewed in Canada on November 16, 2021Verified PurchaseTres bon produit, mais trs decu que pour 50 dollars nous devons faire une mise jour pour que exemple le bouton A soit A sur la manette64
- Reviewed in Canada on April 9, 2023Verified PurchasePlayed Mario 64, but the jump and punch were inverted. Updated the firmware and used the shortcut to swap them to the correct button assignment ?.
Had 2 controllers setup so that the wife and I could play some Goldeneye together, no issues at all.
Better than waiting for the official wireless ones from Nintendo to become available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent adapter!
Verified PurchaseThis is a great adapter with one caveat. I plugged this into my switch 2, worked right away. For some reason by default the B and A buttons are switched, but in the instruction manual it tells you how to swap this easily.
Works seamlessly. Easily do 2 player on n64 games.
THE ONE THING TO NOTE - there is no + and - buttons (obviously) so getting back to the main menu will require a native switch remove.
HIGHLY recommended. I hope this company has a gamecube version. Recommended!

Verified PurchaseExcelente para usar tu control n64 original, solo lo actualizas en la compu, en el switch dejas oprimido start+izq y queda remapeado el A y B. No me parece que tenga lag la verdad. Si lo recomiendo
