The MaxxHaul 50563 Threaded Hitch Locking Pin is constructed from solid steel for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. It is specifically designed for the MaxxHaul 50025 Bike Rack to provide more stability and security. It minimizes wobble or movement from the bike rack and ensures ease of use, safety, and reliability. The kit includes both a locking head and a hitch pin clip for an extra layer of security. Even if the locking head is lost, the hitch pin clip still allows it to be secured and protects your investment. The locking device features a handy locking head that can be turned 360 degrees making it easy to operate. It is equipped with a cap/cover for additional protection to locking mechanism by sealing off moisture, dirt, and other corrosive elements. For your convenience, 2 keys are included and allows you to store the spare key in a safe location either in your tool box, glove compartment, or anywhere when you need it. The locking device is a must accessory to keep your bike rack secure.

    Got a steal on a Thule bike rack at a garage sale, but it was missing the hitch pin. I though a standard pin would fit, but no. This pin is threaded to use with the Thule design, and the lock secures the rack and the bikes attached to it. The 90-degree key angle is perfect (other locking pins make you squeeze the key in from the end, which is a tight fit on my Suburban). Quality is good, and everything works smoothly out of the box.
