    Bought this chair 6 months ago before we had trouble with it. It stopped working. It seems to be a wiring issue. Tried to contact Maidesite, had a bit of trouble initially. However, once we contacted them, they were very helpful honoring the manufacturer warranty. They were very helpful especially Yura. Now we have a working chair. Very useful chair.

    If you aren't strong, and don't have good balance, you will need someone to help you move the chair and ensure that the feet are placed in properly. When I fall, I can move along the floor but can't transfer from my hip onto my knees to get up! I have MS and live alone - I thought this would be the perfect thing to help when I have a fall or use to allow me to lower myself to sit and get into lower cupboards to access things or clean them out.
    I love the concept and hope that the developers will consider something more multipurpose that would assist seniors living alone.

    My dad bought this for senior mom who falls a lot. I look after her and have a hard time with my back helping her up. This really needs two people, it’s heavy and the baby wheels are only helpful on something other than carpet. Having to move this to where she may fall will be hard on my back and no way she could move it or get the bottom legs on by herself. It has to be parked somewhere close to the senior or they won’t be able to get to it if they have poor mobility. I like the concept and if she fell close to it then yes handy for her otherwise it’s heavy, hard to move and you need strength to move it and get legs on and off. Guess will set it up in her bedroom and if she falls she still needs to call me to move it for her if it’s to far to get to.

    Why did you pick this product vs others?:
    I got this lift to replace the polycarbonate lift that Platinum also sells. The polycarbonate version worked until it didn't, and I did not want that to happen again. I wanted to get a lift that I could depend on and since I don't use it to get into the bathtub, . This metal version is heavy and does the job, but the part that interfaces with the floor needs to be put on before you can use it. Fortunately, these are stored on the chair and the chair itself has rollers so it can be moved easily to where it is needed. The only downside is that it is heavy, which I think is a plus.

    This item is not cheap but it is priceless! I have health issues that results in many falls. It is also is the reason I am unable to get up on my own. I fell recently and luckily was very close to the chair. I was able to scoot myself onto the seat and raise myself to a good standing height. It hadn’t been charged in several months but was just sitting there. Amazingly there was enough power to lift me. I can’t put into words how thankful I am for this product as it helps support my independence! If I could change one thing it is how the legs attach. If you bump it they will unattach and it’s not easy to get them back on.

    Very sturdy, excellent engineering. Some points that may help:

    It is heavy. The wheels only work when the seat is folded and the seat restrained. Using the seat belt as a restraint did not work for me. Order an 18" bungee cord with the chair.

    Assembly is minimal, but this thing is heavy and it will take time.

    As soon as you take it out of the box plug in the control battery charger.

    The seat belt is meant for a 400 lb adult. I could not get it short enough to restrain me or my wife.

    Sitting on a floor level seat is not natural. An elderly person may be reluctant and uncomfortable at first.

    You need a plan before using the chair. Where is the best place to place the chair? What will you do once the chair is raised? Does the person in the chair know the plan? Were will you store it for subsequent use? In my opinion it requires 2 people to position, load and operate the chair.

    I am an amputee. I lost my leg in 2017. I was informed then that I could look forward to many falls. After so many of them my husband and I found this lift. We have only used this lift one time in the time we have had it. I had to write this review because I wanted anyone out there who is in a position of needing to get up off the floor and cannot do so on there own that this lift will pay for itself after using it just one time. As long as you don't panic and are not hurt too bad this is the best tool that you can use. We have determined that although we have not been able to travel (not even a little) we decided that this lift goes with us where ever we go. It was easy to assemble and easy to use. I suggest that you try it on when you first get it, just for the knowledge of knowing how it feels.
    I believe you will feel the same way I do after you just use it one time.
