- Reviewed in Canada on May 19, 2024The Losbenco RC B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber looks like a cool option for introducing kids (or even adults!) to the world of remote control airplanes. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Pros for New Pilots:
Easy to Fly:
This plane is advertised as beginner-friendly, and for the most part, it delivers. The lightweight foam construction makes it fairly crash-resistant, and the controls seem manageable for beginners.
Ready to Fly:
A big plus for beginners is that it comes ready to fly out of the box. No complex assembly required – just charge the battery and take off!
Cool Appearance:
Let's face it, the B-2 bomber design is pretty neat. It will likely capture the imagination of any aviation enthusiast (young or old).
Things to Consider:
Limited Maneuvers:
While advertised for stunts, the plane's capabilities are more suited for basic flying maneuvers. Don't expect anything too acrobatic.
Short Flight Time:
The battery life allows for short flights, which might be frustrating for more eager pilots. Be prepared for frequent charging breaks.
Durability for Learning:
The foam construction is great for beginners in terms of crash resistance, but it might not hold up to super rough landings or constant bumps.
Overall:
The Losbenco RC B-2 Bomber is a decent option for getting beginners interested in RC airplanes. It's easy to fly, ready to use, and the B-2 design is a nice touch. However, keep in mind the limited maneuverability, short flight time, and potential durability concerns for very rough landings. This might be a better fit for younger kids or those wanting a basic RC plane experience before moving on to more advanced models.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 1, 2025Verified PurchaseParcel is going back. Charging port not connecting and the app doesn't work. Huge disappointment for my son's for Children's day.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 7, 2024This thing certainly looks cool, but it's got tons of problems.
1) The app won't connect. None of my devices can even detect the drone, so the app is completely useless. So no camera functions, and no app control. And judging by the reviews in the app store, most people have problems with it.
2) The foam 'body' looks cool, but makes it far more vulnerable to air currents than a comparable-sized drone of standard configuration. Flying this thing outside may be all but impossible, and it's pretty large to fly indoors.
3) The instruction manual leaves out or seriously under-explains a lot of things. I for one hate having to play guessing games to get a new tech toy up and running.
4) The drone has a built-in, hardwired battery - that's only good for about 5 minutes of flight time. And then it takes over an hour to recharge.
5) At $65.99, and considering all the problems it has, this is severely overpriced. If everything worked perfectly, then maybe, but not as-is.
Conclusion:
While it does fly using the standard remote, it's just got too many problems and weaknesses for me to recommend it. Look for something else.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 22, 2024I got this for the camera, I wanted to fly and take a video of my backyard but I can't for the life of me get this to work. I read the reviews on the play store for the i-spy toys app and they are absolutely correct. I cannot get this to connect, I tried wifi, bluetooth, on, paired, etc, the app is just non functional and it's basically the only reason I wanted this.
Otherwise the drone is also kind of buggy, I was flying it around in an indoor space and it would constantly drift, or rotate even while in controlled motion it drifts way off course. The trim buttons basically do nothing. The calibration is way off. One time it will rotate counter clock wise, land, calibrate, take off and then instead of rotate it will drift side to side, repeat process, then it rotates clockwise, repeat, then it drifts forward backward. It has potential and it looks really cool but it's impossible to fly accurately even indoors. I would wait to see if they update the software before buying this if you plan to use it for any serious amount of time.

-It's actually not that hard to get a hang of to fly
-The plane charges!!!
-Lights up
-Where it's made of foam, it can withstand more crashes than plastic ones
-You can record footage with this too!
To improve:
-The instructions don't really tell you how to calibrate this.... I did right left up down and then mashed the buttons to get it to go up, lol
-Doesn't come with batteries for the remote.... I wish these things would work with a charge like the plane does
At the time of this review, this RC airplane was $65.99 and I think that's on par for a toy like this. This is a great intro to flying drones for kids and adults.

- Reviewed in Canada on March 24, 2024Durable RC airplane that's so much fun. This RC plane is an absolute blast to fly, offering a wide range of functions that make every flight a thrilling experience. It's incredibly easy to navigate without worrying about the orientation of the plane as it has different stability modes and can make the plane come back to you. It has super bright LED navigation lights that make it fun for night flying and look so cool. It can also record real time footage through the app.

3.0 out of 5 stars CONTROLLER STICKS BAD!
Verified PurchaseI've lost mine several times because controller sticks and plane continues off and away..And I had to disassemble plane and cut original battery and soldered new battery in and close it up.. other than that I like it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Has the potential to be amazing but needs work, Prototype?
The B2 looks really cool, is super light, and when it works it can be fun. I have only had it 2 plus days. But with consistent charging able to get 10 flights out of it.
Flight time was very inconsistent ie battery life. I found the best way to get more flight time is once the blue led light goes out unplug it and then plug it back in. It can hover once you get things just right with the trim. Overall speed is very slow unless you lose control or can't get the trim just right then it takes off and you have to make it land.
Controls take a bit of getting use to and the trim didn't always fix the tendency for the aircraft to take off in a weird direction directly after take off with no wind and no input from the controller. We spent one entire flight just trying to get the trim right so it would hover and then the battery died.
Durability for the most part it did great with minimal damage with some good crashes. Unfortunately we were trying to do a full flip stunt, it kind of went crazy flew 15 feet into a tree branch and then nose dived into the ground breaking the out side foam next to a propeller. I haven't tried to repair it yet.
Price point - suggested retail is way too high for what you get. There are toy drones at a much lower price with more control and longer flight times.
It definitely was fun, most of the time. I feel like this is a prototype, not 100% ready for the public. We did not try the camera since flight time was so inconsistent. I downloaded the software but did not use it.
Things to make it better, more than one battery and easy removal and installation of battery, longer flight times. Some way to save the trim settings, having to do it every time eats into having fun. Lower price point. I got this through vine, but I have been looking for an aircraft rc vehicle for my son. We have a lot of amazing rc cars and wanted something different. Body re-enforcement at obvious weak points.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works well remote flying. Cannot get camera to work.
The plane is lightweight and works well as a radio controlled plane. However, the app cannot connect to the plane and so I was never able to get the camera to work. It just continually says lost connection reconnecting and never connects.
KenWorks well remote flying. Cannot get camera to work.
