Was a real pain trying to connect her iPhone to my WiFi, had to do it manually because QR code wouldn't accept on her phone due to already registered to my android phone account. Had to research on line for answers, eventually ending up calling tech support.
Because I have the Fusion NVR Cameras and the Lorex app, I needed to upgrade the firmware on my cameras, and this seemed to work.
The Doorbell Video app is easier to set up detection parameters than the camera app on the NVR which is a real pain. Wish Lorex would update the NVR parameters so they match the doorbell app. Also better instructions to set up the doorbell app would be great also.
Bottom line: Still a keeper.

The Lorex team connected me with their master technician who spent a few hours with me on the phone trying to diagnose the issues. Every issue was deemed an "app limitation". Even had me set up a new wifi 2.4Gz specifically for the doorbell camera. It did not help.. It is still the slowest app ever and crashes all the time which really makes the whole "video doorbell" thing null.

I bought this doorbell in December 2024 as an upgrade to my 2k Eufy video doorbell. Since installing it, I would say the 2 positives are the video quality and motion detection sensitivity, two areas where my old eufy lagged. Issue is mainly with the app and connectivity, which has to be the slowest loading live feed ever. The app also crashes a lot when I try to load the live feed or answer the doorbell when someone rings. It gives me a "oops, something went wrong, try again" message. When I try again, it loops to the same message. This happens at least 3-4 times a day. It defeats the purpose of a video doorbell. I have Lorex security cameras at my house and they work fine on the same app, so it seems like an issue with the doorbell portion.
Last complaint is the field of view is much more narrow than my old doorbell. Can't really do much about that but I do wish it was wider.
If they fixed the app connectivity issue it would get a much more different review but it's just one star for now.

Then you have to go to settings and confirm to see the replay.

Verified PurchaseI now have 2 of these, one at the front door, and the other at the back gate. It works well in 4k, and integrates perfectly with both the Lorex system we're running as well as our 鶹 Alexa system. When it's pressed, we can view who's at the gate/door on our Echo Show devices. Using the Lorex app and the NVR we can playback at least 1 week of comings and goings in front of the camera. It does require a 18-24VDC connection, but since it can be recording continuously and includes Infared at night, the power requirements just can't be met with batteries. It should work off of your existing doorbell transformer.

Verified PurchaseI have had this video doorbell installed for about 2 months now or so, and I have it connected to a Lorex NVR. It has been a good camera, but a couple of times now it has acted up and stops sending notifications like it should. I have found that I have to go turn the breaker off and then back on to restart it, and then the notifications start working again as they should. Even though it is a 4k resolution camera I would say there is absolutely no way it is 4k quality video. That being said I have been happier with this over the old Ring doorbell I had.

Verified PurchaseApparently whoever packed this unit was having a bad day as I only received the conductors and mounting wedge in the box, no English directions on how to configure the unit, only in French. Missing the release pin, anchors, 15degree wedge, 5 degree wedge, screws, bit, wire nuts and usb cable. Extremely poor QC to say the least.
