I could not be happier with this collection. I grew up with these cartoons, and yes, not all of the Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies shorts have been released for purchase yet (there are 1100+ shorts or so from WB, and only about 477 are actually released for purchase). If you're a hardcore collector, you would need this collection, the Platinum Collection (24 unique to discs not on the Golden) as well as the Looney Tunes Super Stars series (97 unique to discs not on the Golden) and you'll be owning 93% of what's released.
The cartoons are beautifully remastered with a ton of great features, documentaries and extras. It's a healthy mix of Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies. You can easily tell which shorts are which from the intro Melodies (LT's "The Merry Go Round Broke Down" vs MM's "Merrily We Roll Along"). Any die hard Looney Tunes fan should have this. Highly recommended.
Some pictures are attached to help shoppers know what a genuine copy actually looks like since there happens to be bootleg copies in circulation. I got duped the first time I purchased off a third party seller and which I have promptly returned, and bought this copy directly from 鶹.
You would be hard pressed to tell a bootleg copy from the original as the bootleg is very convincing. However, here are some ways to tell them apart:
- The bootleg will say 375 cartoons on the side of the package, the real copy will actually say 356.
- The bootleg's plastic covers are very poor quality as noted from other users here, and will typically break
- The hinge on the plastic insert dips all the way down on the real copies, whereas the bootleg rounds up.
- The colors on the bootleg packaging seems to have a bluish grey background, whereas the real one is a more muted grey background
- Most importantly, the quality of the image/transfers. Since the bootlegs are just copies, the image of the shorts/cartoons are noticeably noisier, more muddy and not as sharp in detail.
I recommend purchasing directly from 鶹, or if you're willing to take the risk, buy it from a reputable seller with at least 96-99% seller rating.

Absolutely terrible condition, just got home from work opened my package to check it out just to see and hear the damage. The delivery box it came in was practically unscathed but the actual box set with the discs is a different story.
I cannot believe how every single disc was scratched or contents so crudely burned on that I can see where the discs have burn in.
The cases them self every single one of them came chipped cracked or broken.
I’d like to add as well that the rest of my order was completely fine with no damage.
Insanity.
