From the Publisher
"It has loads of activities, space for pasting postcards, for drawing what has been seen that date, etc. It is a fabulous book to keep children engaged on a trip and allow them to document their holiday and experiences in their own words. It will make a wonderful keepsake for parents and for kids."
"It is a fantastic book that I see appealing to a wide age group, from those like me who want to make a family memory to teenagers who want a diary type record. There is a perfect mix of designed activities and blank pages to use for what ever your imagination wants. I can't find fault with any aspect of this book. Highly recommended."

- Reviewed in Canada on March 5, 2023Verified PurchaseThis is the best travel journal around. The prompts are awesome and there is tons of neat things to fill in. Even my teen kid loved hers. If you have a lod who doesn't write an awful lot there's even space for polaroid size pics! This is the second time I've purchased this item because we love it so much!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pitched perfectly for my 6 and 8 yr old, with a great mix of creative activities
Verified PurchaseI bought 2 of these ahead of a family road trip to the USA. My girls are 8 and 6 and the language, ideas, and activities are pitched just right for their reading ages.
Each activity is thought provoking but simple, and encourages kids to think and document some of their obvious and not so obvious holiday experiences. The book is set out along the journey, from anticipation, preparation, then experiences whilst away, and finally summarising. Some of my personal highlights are: weather watch charts, flag drawing, quotes and catchphrases, and new experiences.
For a small book it covers a lot of ground and I can’t wait for my 2 to get stuck in. I like the laid back but informative feel of lonely planet books, and it really shows through with this.
Update... so after recovering from the trip, I was pleased with the journal. I think (as always) I underestimated how much parental motivation would be needed to help remember, divert from fighting, and move away from screens, but after prompting my 6&8 YO girls both enjoyed the variety of content. Most of the time my wife and I had to prompt memories but I liked this. After a few days it became a little of our routine and was a good way to keep them busy whilst we sampled the local giggle juice.
Will report back on how it went!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoughtful and well organized travel journal
Verified PurchaseThis journal is awesome. It starts before the trip with prompts to journal about packing and planning for the trip and the guides journaling throughout the trip. Kids will be left with a wonderful memento of their travels by the end. I can’t wait for my son to use this on our summer vacation!
