    These pair of cast iron pans are nicely pre seasoned. For a pair they are good value. Check the size you need. They are a bit small for our bread baking needs but likely good for specialty breads like fruit loafs or banana bread where the slices are not sandwich size. Like all cast iron they are heavy.

    I used these to bake Japanese milk bread and they work really well. They maintain heat really well. Much better than the thin metal baking pans with nonstick coating. I find that the Loaf Pans with non stick coating works well to prevent the bread from sticking to the sides but non stick is not healthy for you. These are cast iron. I simply oil them and use parchment paper on the sides of the cast iron loaf and that prevents the bread from sticking. Love these pans. Only complaint is that I wish the side walls were taller by maybe 1.5".

    This was chosen after I discovered all the bread machines from low to high-end are full of widely reported issues of non-stick coating coming off and even lubricant oil from the mixing valve. Get a mixer and these pans but make sure the edges are smooth, I had to replace an order because they were sharp enough to cut skin. Some Lodge pans can have milling issues but because this pan has long straight lines it's something to check on delivery. The QA for Lodge products on 鶹 need to be double checked as it's possible their lesser expensive stock named "Seconds" made their way in to fill quotas.

    These cast iron loaf pans are great quality and bakes evenly. My homemade bread comes right out and I make the best bread now. I feel that it is the quality of the pans you use to have perfect breads, etc and these loaf pans are it. The loaf pans I used before using these were ok but does not compares to these. I would recommend these loaf pans. Who needs a bread machine when you can have these great quality loaf pans.
