Purchase options and add-ons
An instantNew York Timesbestseller from Kelly Ripa—a sharp, funny, and honest collection of real-life stories showing the many dimensions and crackling wit of the beloved daytime talk show host.
In Live Wire, her first book, Kelly shows what really makes her tick. As a professional, as a wife, as a daughter and as a mother, she brings a hard-earned wisdom and an eye for the absurdity of life to every minute of every day.It is her relatability in all of these roles that has earned her fans worldwide and millions of followers on social media. Whether recounting how she and Mark really met, the level of chauvinism she experienced on set, how Jersey Pride follows her wherever she goes, and many, many moments of utter mortification (whence she proves that you cannot, in fact, die of embarrassment) Kelly always tells it like it is.Ms. Ripa takes no prisoners.
Surprising, at times savage, a little shameless and always with humor… Live Wire shows Kelly as she really is offscreen—a very wise woman who has something to say.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 3, 2025Verified PurchaseTerribly written, conceited self
Serving obnoxiously rotten book by a delightful tv character actor. The book is boring to say the least and not interesting AT ALL and as one who only reads biographies and autobiographies I was so looking forward to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Damn Good Book
Verified PurchaseVery entertaining and easy to read. Provided a very candid look into the life of a person who you only know by watching her on television. Truly a revealing look behind the curtain. Very honest . I enjoyed every story . I'll be watching "Live with Kelly and Mark" in a completely different light from now on!

4.0 out of 5 stars She’s In The Room!
Verified PurchaseThere are few of us who today don’t know Kelly Ripa and her clear iconic voice. Not just the sound, but her wit and style of delivery, the quick pace and the jokes that are always lilting along. When reading this book, it’s her voice coming so clear through the pages that she’s the voice in my head. I honestly could have been listening to an audiobook, it was like she was right there. Such fun stories that open up her world a bit more to us, in the BFF over a martini vibe that I loved reading every night.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting with a Little Too Much Language
Verified PurchaseI liked the short stories. I liked how it felt like we were talking friend-to-friend, and I wasn't just reading. I liked the inner monolog that she would share with us. I think she has a very spunky personality, and I am totally amazed by her relationship with her husband, children, in-laws, etc. Knowing she loves her husband and kids and making ithat love front and center was awesome.
I did not love all the language. Some stories I wish there had been more. But she seemed real and honest. A few things I don't love but her decisions are for her and her family. And loving all people is really what matters.
I dont know that I would have picked up this book normally on my own, but it was for a book challenge, and overall, I'm glad I read it. I don't really have friends I will suggest read it due to the language.
