- Reviewed in Canada on July 14, 2025Verified PurchaseIt is soldering flux as advertised, but it is too adhesive and very hard to clean, so not a good choice for SMD components.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected. no leaks, muss or mess. Flux works well.
Verified PurchaseI had previously purchased from 鶹, a Weller flux bottle setup with MG flux. The similar size Weller applicator bottle also had a needle top to replace the larger plastic applicator, like this one.
There was no way to use the needle applicator. Flux was too thick, it leaked out past the threaded base when you slightly squeezed the bottle to try and force the flux out of the bottle thru the needle. Mess, un usable unless you used the plastic insert, even that leaked and was a bit of a mess , just not as bad as the needle cap.
This, one , perfect, no leaks, flux is thin enough to drop out w/o pressure on the bottle. no mess no fuss.
Winner !

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for soldering small gauge stranded wire.
Verified PurchaseGreat product! This is perfect for soldering stranded wire and making small solder joints. The liquid flux flows into the strands of the wire and allows the solder to flow into the wire very quickly, forming a good strong joint with just a very small amount of solder. The applicator tip is the prefect diameter and length for applying the flux precisely where you need it. Despite the small size of the bottle, it should last a long time since you don’t need to use much at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great… negative reviewers don’t understand flux. Read below for metal tip install:
Verified PurchaseThis flux works fantastic!! Most negative reviews appear to be made by folks who don’t really understand working with flux. Good flux is typically VERY sticky… almost like tree sap. It cleans off easily with acetone (nail polish remover, carb cleaner, or brake cleaner all work great)
The cap/tip that comes with the bottle works VERY good and makes the flux application much easier onto small wires, BUT, it’s a little hard to figure out. You HAVE to remove the small plastic tip that’s installed BEFORE you can screw on the metal tip. If you simply push the plastic tip to the side, it should pop out. Then you can screw on the metal tip. Would be helpful if they included some instructions to explain this… took me a while to figure it out at first. But once that’s installed, you’ll find that this stuff works really well.
It is also a LOT of flux compared to those annoying flux pens that tend to either go dry OR dump a crapload of flux on your wires…. almost never the exact amount you need :) This bottle however, makes it super easy to get the exact amount you need, every time.
If the metal tip gets clogged (which will likely happen at some point) heat the tip up a bit with a small heat gun or lighter and it should free up easily.

4.0 out of 5 stars Flux overloaded
Verified PurchaseThis liquid solder flux dropper is the precision tool I never knew I needed—until I used it and realized I also need a steady hand and the patience of a monk. The flux itself works great, but one wrong squeeze and you’ve got a tiny chemical Slip ‘n Slide on your workbench.
The dropper tip is so fine, it made me feel like a surgeon performing open-heart soldering. Spoiler: I am not a surgeon. Things got messy, but hey, the connections were solid, and my ego only slightly bruised.
Rating: 4/5 🌟 (Works great, but beware: one extra drop and you’re in flux overload.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Bonus Metal Shim, is actually dope, good product for the cost.
Verified PurchaseProvides relatively good control for the price. Not as good as a pen, but it's a fraction of the cost. pens can cost 20+$.
Honestly, the metal pry tool is awesome as a shim when trying to open components. It's great.
Nice little bonus things.
