Looks very sturdy and durable. Made of an oxygen-free copper core with thick, nylon-braided exterior while the shells of the ends are aluminum. The 3.5 mm aux jack is 24K gold plated thus reducing signal loss. The cord length is ample at 37 inches.
I like how it has a 3.5 mm output jack. Although this is old technology, there are still a lot of items/gadgets that use it. I tried it on my bluetooth headphone which had the option of being bluetooth or wired via the 3.5 aux. I tried it and attached the USB C (to my iPad), and also tried Lightning connector (to my iPhone). Both worked very well. High resolution indeed.
The 3.5 mm output jack works independently, regardless if you are using the other ports/connectors. You can play music via the 3.5 mm from your iPhone or USB C capable device and charge at the same time.
It has a USB C port which leads to either a USB C connector or a Lightning connector. This can be used for fast charging or data transfer. Not a fan of the latter so i just tested the former and they indeed gave fast charging capabilities.
Overall, it’s something i definitely will be using.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 16, 2025I use this to plug my phone into an amplifier, to listen to loud music.
No headphone receptacle? I rummaged through my miscellaneous electronic drawer, and found a headphone-to-RCA adaptor, and plugged into the speaker inputs. Problem solved.
If only I could charge the phone simultaneously while listening to music, I'd give it 5 stars.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 4, 2025Our Acer Nitro pre-built PC has very low volume for audio playback via the motherboard 3.5mm headphone jack and has no other possible connections. The Acer had a single USB-C port and we were out of options and we had almost thrown in the towel... That is until we stumbled upon the Ardaddyn USB C Lightning to 3.5mm Aux Audio Cable. This cable is designed for mobile phones, tablets, Car Audio head units, and PCs!
We plugged in the 3.5mm end into the external speaker, and the other USB-C into the USB-C port and immediately Windows 11 made a beep and auto-detected the attached speaker automatically!
Testing a music video from YouTube resulted in playback at normal volume which was a very pleasant surprise as we had almost given up on getting this pre-built PC to function normally!
The Ardaddyn also has a USB-C pass thru so you can also connect another USB-C device while outputting audio to the 3.5mm jack.
The Ardaddyn is made of good quality as it features a cable cover with a braided sleeve finish. We highly recommend this product! 5 out of 5 stars!
- Reviewed in Canada on June 8, 2025I love keeping this in my car because it's very versatile in what you can use it for and for various needs. I like being able to offer a charger to all the people in my car and since the aux cord typically doesn't get much use anymore it's perfect for that.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 21, 2025I'm not sure when these will be available again, but I am simply pleased with this product. It does exactly what I was hoping for so that I can play my audio through the aux port that only supports a 3.5mm jack.
I've tried other adapters for 3.5mm to USB-C but it kept activating Bixby and this one did not which I am thankful for.
I like the durable construction and the design so that you can still charge your phone through the bypass if you need to. The only thing I will say is that you do have to turn your phone up and also the stereo volume up because it was a bit on the quiet side... so just keep in mind to turn the volume back down before you switch back to whatever else. None the less the audio was clear and nothing was compromised. So thank you for that.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 22, 2025This cable was, for me, a complete fail on all fronts.
First, it’s not as described. The 3.5 mm plug is TRS (3-pole), not TRRS (4-pole), which disqualifies it from any use involving microphones—limiting gaming or voice-capable applications, despite what's advertised. (Nor is it a female connector, likely an advertising misprint.) It’s also slightly under 1 metre in length; personally, I would have preferred at least 1.5 m.
Functionally, it performed even worse. Used with both an iPad Pro 6th gen (USB-C) and an iPhone 13 Pro Max (Lightning), the audio output was sometimes garbled, low-volume, and only present in the left channel, even when tested with known-good Sony headphones. And sometimes there was just no audio. In other words, essentially unusable.
The cable also claims to support PD (Power Delivery) charging via the USB-C pass-through. However, testing with an Apple 20W charger yielded no charging at all. Switching to a USB-A to USB-C fallback (likely 10W) did result in charging—at regular slow speed—suggesting that PD pass-through functionality is either missing or non-functional.
In short:
- Not TRRS as advertised
- Audio output is poor and limited to one channel
- PD charging does not work
- Key product claims are unfulfilled
This may be a quality control issue, but given how completely the unit failed to meet expectations, I cannot recommend the product received.
