This unit has a special Velcro-sealing cuff that allows the user to put on and take off an upper-arm cuff by themselves. It is not as easy as the instructions suggest, but you get better with practice. I can't judge the accuracy of the machine, although my blood pressure readings are similar to those in my doctor's office. The machine is reasonably priced and is able to store blood pressure readings which can then be shown to a medical practitioner. The large numbers on the screen are easy to read. There is a colour-coded bar along the side of the screen which flashes depending upon your results: green=good, orange=be careful, red=possible high blood pressure.

I followed the recommendations for a cuff size and everything worked out well. I had an older A & D Medical Life Source BP Monitor that the cuff started to leak and wouldn't work anymore so I put the new machine cuff on the old monitor and it worked fine and the same readings as the new one. So I bought a replacement cuff for the older A & D machine and it works fine. Now I have 2 machines to verify readings with.
