Their innovative interlocking design; rugged nylon flanged and outlets; integrated inlets and outlets with weather resistant covers; and hospital grade devices that meet the highest standards for dependable, long-term performance.

Dependable Product Features

The Leviton 5266-CA features rugged nylon construction that resists impact, sunlight, chemicals and rough use. The triple-wipe, heavy duty power contacts set in deep pockets to resist damage and all contacts are solid one-piece brass for better conductivity. Featuring a unique cord clamp that accepts a wide range of cord sizes (0.245 inch–0.700 inch), providing secure grip without damaging cord jacket: SVT 18-3 to SO 14-3 with strain relief insert, up to ST 10-3 when strain relief insert is removed.

    Used LEVITON products before with no issue. I needed multiple size/type screwdrivers, one of the electrical connection (ground) screws were stripped so I had to drill small access hole to insert needle and pry up while hoping screw will catch, it did thankfully as I needed this electrical motor to operate quickly Otherwise would have been a return. I expected better from this company.

    I ran an extension cord through conduit so the sump pump in my crawl space had power. Unfortunately, I didn’t trim the hedges in front of the house and outlet last year. When I used the hedger on them this year, I quickly learned the hedge grew behind my extension cord and rerouted it toward the hedge. Like a novice, I simply cut the hedge back about a foot from the house. It didn’t take long to realize I severed the extension cord. Using this helped me avoid routing a new extension cord through the conduit and in the crawl space. It appears to be solidly constructed and the 90 degree angle helped ensure the cord stays closer to the house. I would like to think I will never need to buy another, but should the need occur, I will definitely get another one of these.

    This Leviton 125 VAC, right angle, 3 pin, grounded plug's a good deal at 鶹. Priced 30% lower than most other distributors, it wasn't surprising that they're was only one left in stock, which I managed to snatch up just in time. But, 鶹's restocked it by now.

    The plug itself works fine, even if its interior back space is a bit awkward for safely routing the three, 14 AWG, heavier gauge wires that I installed. Its also a little taller than I'd hoped, but not too much. Its 360 degree rotational orientation option is also an ideal feature since this allows pointing the cord's exit in the best desired direction when fitting its form factor into the tighter, lower profile AC power applications it's meant for resolving.

    Perhaps, other models with appropriate engineering designs could be made with a slightly larger backspace and/or more elegant and still lower profiles for resolving application issues where available AC power outlet's spacial limitations are so often common, crowded, restricted, and demanding.
