If you, like me, is here because of the absurd jump on kicking horse coffee beans, don't do that. I expected it would not be so good quality but I wouldn't imagine it could be so tasteless. As a person who prefers light roast coffee because of the complexity of flavours and notes, I can assure you this is not even close to a light roast coffee. It is more towards medium roast and flavour profile is super bland even for the average medium roast you find in the market. In fact, I noticed that compared to the picture on the 鶹 product page, they even removed the term "light roast" from the packaging so the product listing and pictures are not even accurate. Don't let them fool you.

    I initially purchased this particular version of this coffee because it was the cheapest version of this brand. I wish I could say it was because this product is organic. But of the various other versions of coffee made by this company, this one is one of my favorites. The taste is bold and enjoyable to drink. I typically grind these beans and use them with my espresso machine or French press at work. I’ve always needed milk in my coffee, but the taste of this product makes the addition of milk unnecessary. I love it without sugar or milk. I’ve made the change to purchasing only LavAzza coffee beans. Better flavour and richer quality. You can’t go wrong with any of their coffee bean products.

    Claims to be organic, which I have no reason to doubt, but tastes more like one of those 'light roast' beans. Like Melitta. If you're looking for clean, smaller dry and medium/light roast beans, this is the organic coffee for you.
    However, if you're used to the more earthy, larger bean Kicking Horse version, with darker, creamy and dare i say moist/sticky texture, this won't be your favorite. Still recommended at the current price, its very inexpensive for organic coffee beans.
