Purchase options and add-ons
Oli is not happy with his lot in life as a thrall, a slave to the noble family he has served since birth. If he believed in the old gods, he would curse them to their faces that a thrall is the most he could ever be. Few even worship the gods anymore, yet Oli is tasked with tending to their altar at the foot of the oldest tree in the nearby wood—where he is happy to defile it whenever the noble family’s son wants him on his knees.
After his most recent tryst, however, he learns how real the gods are.
Whisked away by the trickster god, Loki, in exchange for his freedom from life as a thrall, Oli is to apply his sensuous skills to appease the male gods still in mourning after Ragnarök. The time of the old gods is over, but as penance for the role he played, Loki employs Oli’s help to usher in the next chapter of the gods’ existence with a bang.
Most alluring of all, however, might be Loki himself—the one god playing hard to get.
Indulge in the divine desires of the Norse gods in this enticing standalone novel. It can be read independent of other installments of Lovers of the Gods, and unlike Last Courtesan of Olympus is as much a ROMANCE as it is a romp through the nine realms.

- Reviewed in Canada on July 15, 2025Verified PurchaseAnother great book by Amanda Meuwissen. I loved the glossary in the front that allows readers who don't know Norse Mythology a chance to learn a bit.
Really, I have nothing bad to say about the series. Excited to read more!
- Reviewed in Canada on June 5, 2025What a great read. Oli is a thrall who belongs to a rich family. After a tryst with the family’s son, he was told that he was being sold. After cursing all the old gods, he ends up being taken by Loki. With the terms of their agreement set, Oli goes and has them filled. As the story progressed, Oli, even though he was helping the old gods, only wanted Loki. Loved this world and looking forward to reading more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing!
Verified PurchaseFun read - I loved the overarching plot in this book.
Beautiful cover.
This works as a standalone but I’m really enjoying the series.
Wonder if there will be a third pantheon of gods to be visited?
In the meantime - I hope we get a short story with Freyr!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully written and very fun romp
Verified PurchaseThis was so perfectly written, I love the sentence structure of this author! And the drool-worthy sex scenes were so beautifully paced, perfectly timed and a great way to sate every kind of lust! The chapter trigger warnings were an odd break of flow but actually helped to time out myself from binging the whole thing! Loved it all!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to the series!
Verified PurchaseI enjoyed the Last Thrall of Asgard by Amanda Meuwissen. I liked Oli and Loki's story. The story is high heat and I enjoyed watching Oli visit the other gods and do what he needed to do in order to fulfill the requirements of the deal he made with Loki so he could be a free man instead of a thrall. I loved that Loki was the one he wanted most. I could have done without the content warnings at the start of each chapter. I think one list at the front of the book would have worked.
I read this book using the Kindle unlimited app.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this even more than the previous books
Verified PurchaseWhile I adored the first 2 books, Oli is my favorite MC. He had a lot to learn, but was fierce and loyal witty. This book is about second changes, healing, and self acceptance with lots of spice. The content warnings are very clear and honestly the book is sometimes less wild than the content warnings make it seem. Very confused why someone would see repeated, clear descriptions of CW, not be into that, proceeed to read a few pages, then leave a negative review.
PS.I would LOVE a story for Freyr *hint hint*

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!
Verified PurchaseI absolutely love this book!! I love queer fantasy books! And like the first one, this is very steamy but has actually a lot of heart to it. And it has some really sweet messages sprinkled throughout. I love Loki, and I love the ending he got. It made me very happy. I would enjoy it very much if the author wrote a novella for Freyr. I think it could be very sweet! I loved the one that she wrote for Apollo. :-)
