Product description

Lang Tools (CLT-2) Cylinder Leakage Tester measures the ability of an engine cylinder to hold compressed air- using shop air pressure- and supplements a compression tester. The CLT-2 has a precision regulator, an M14 standard reach adapter on a 26" hose assembly, and an M14 long reach solid adapter. The 2-1/2" special gauge has one multicolored band for measuring low, moderate, and high leakage, and a scale range from 0-100%. The second gauge is 2-1/2" and has a dual scale dial PSI and bar, which allows a technician to monitor input air-line pressure.

    Own a few Lang Tools in toolbox, some just real China junk and some very decent. I have noticed though if you are purchasing Snap-on, some tools are re-branded as Lang Tools but Snap-on changes the name and brands as "Snap-on". Very cleaver in my opinion as a purchased a vacuum gauge from Snap-on and found the label behind says "Lang Tools". Looked up online and the same tool except the case was different color and model number were different. Returned to my Rep and purchased that one because of the price. I also noticed another review state this. Anyway about the tool, the tool comes in a small gray case. The case is small and doesn't fit the tool and the hose well but it works. Like it stated, some good tools Lang Tools makes and some bad tools. This appears to be a good tool. The quality is decent and seems to be accurate, i will not go through the whole process of explaining how it works. The tool comes with an extra adapter and detailed instructions on how to properly use it. I looked for other brands just don't like the setup, i like the two gauges design. This isn't a tool you will use all that often as a technician, i have used it roughly 3 times in a month and a half i have owned it. Nice tool to have and no to borrow but also not a necessary tool. I would totally recommend this as this a just a re-branded Snap-on for less the price.

    Purchased to do a leak down test on my Harley, works as it should, however the first one the needles got out of whack. Exchanged for a new one and I have used the new one several times with zero issues, in fact I just checked my riding lawnmower recently trying to diagnose fuel in the crankcase.

    The storage case is not form fit but it does the job.

    Value for money I would say is not bad. I cannot attest to the accuracy versus an expensive setup but if you are leaking by it definitely shows rather quickly on the gauge versus when you are holding good pressure (>20%).

    The body itself is very nice and when these gauges eventually fail again I will just replace them with better quality so to me, it's well worth it over a $100+ setup.
