    These are not good. If you want your soil to actually have some moisture, use the normal kind. This terracotta trend killed my plants from dehydration.

    Unless you use 3 around the stem of a plant.. but the bulbs are so huge it makes no sense.

    I initially purchased these globes with the intention of keeping my plants healthy during our extensive summer travels. Unfortunately, the packaging was inadequate for protecting the plastic globes as they were not wrapped in bubble wrap or any other protective material. Consequently, one globe arrived damaged. Furthermore, the package did not include instructions, though the design suggests where the water should be placed. There was no explanation regarding the mechanism of slow release, nor an indication of the time required for the water to seep through the ceramic cone. My plants were dry when I first placed the globes in the pot, prompting me to give them a thorough watering, as I anticipated that the water release from the cone would be gradual and minimal. Overall, I am not confident that these globes would sustain plant health for more than a couple of weeks of absence.
