Built around the proven LSI SAS2008 controller, this HBA is compatible with LSI 9211-8i and comes preconfigured in HBA IT Mode for direct-passthrough to ZFS and other software RAID solutions. It offers 6Gb/s per port and a PCIe 2.0 x8 host interface. Two internal Mini-SAS SFF-8087 connectors provide eight device lanes for direct attachment of up to eight HDDs/SSDs; capacity can be scaled further via an external SAS expander for large arrays and JBOD enclosures. Ideal for TrueNAS/FreeNAS, unRAID, Proxmox, ESXi home labs and NAS servers. Package includes 2× SFF-8087 to 4× SATA breakout cables for immediate SATA drive hookup.
