Based on the 1912 novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this outstanding new 12-disc DVD release of the complete 66-episode TV series (including theoriginal 2-part Pilot), offers entry into an alternative universe, packed with action, adventure, and interesting characters – and their developing relationships. First airing in 1999, the series details the adventures of a band of scientists and explorers, who set course from England in a hot air balloon to a remote area of the 鶹 jungle in search of a fabled “lost world.” Following a crash landing, the group discovers a mysterious plateau and a beautiful jungle woman named Veronica Layton, who has been living in the wilderness since her parents disappeared 11 years earlier, having vanished under mysterious circumstances. The characters realize they are trapped in the lost world and battle against many hostile elements including a mysterious force which created this world. Together, they fight to survive against carnivorous dinosaurs, vicious Neanderthals, a race of lizard men, and other dangersas they search for a way to escape. Starring Peter McCauley, Rachel Blakely, Jennifer O’Dell, William Snow, David Orth, Michael Sinelnikoff and Lara Cox, the characters are complex, well-rounded, and interesting with a great mixture of humor, adventure, and mystery – they sometimes struggle with each other and their relationships as much as with their environment. The Lost World ran for three seasons, the final two of which aired in syndication in the United States, before it was cancelled in 2002 after funding for a fourth season was abandoned.     Some of these TV Shows are okay but I didn't like most. To much going back and forth with too many different adventures. I didn't like the ending on the last dvd show. Just left you hanging. It was just getting interesting and then quit and said to be continued. Which never happen because they cancelled the TV Show.

    I won't bother reviewing the show itself because it's absolutely terrible in a good sort of way.

    The product arrived in brand new condition. No scratches, plastic intact etc. I'm happy with the case it comes in. It's easy to remove and reinsert the discs which hasn't been the case with some other purchases lately.

    The quality of the video is a bit lower than DVD quality which results in a slightly blurry looking picture.

    Not like it matters much as the shows main value at this point is the nostalgia.
