    These don't extend very far from their mounting position, so you may have to negotiate how your radar locks in (and stays perpendicular to the ground), but once you do, it's rock solid. It makes me feel way more secure about not losing my Varia and it's way easier moving the radar between bikes.

    I have three of these units now and they do exactly what you want, and honestly what Garmin should have provided in the Varia box. It attaches nicely to the rails of the saddle (be sure to tighten evenly and not overly), and the common GoPro mount approach allows for longer arms to be added if you need to get past a saddle bag. The unit is light but durable and my Varia has never popped off when hitting a hard bump on the bike.
