FINAL UPDATE: Changed from three stars to one. If I could make it minus 5 stars, I would. Company did not address my issues, but I could still view what I needed to. However, about two weeks after return window closed, I went to check the camera on my phone and I was logged out! Not something I did. I had messages that I did not have an account, etc. Much time wasted trying to get the camera going on my phone again. Setting up passwords, getting pins, etc. to reset. After finally getting back online, things had changed somewhat in the setup. Now there was a screen for "My Orders" which shows and "Order Price of 9.99" with "Payment Method" as "Donation". There is also a "User Agreement and Privacy Policy" a mile long! I certainly did not sign up for all this when I ordered and set up this supposedly simple camera. I don't want an account and I certainly don't want a plan. There is wi-fi where the camera is plugged in, and wi-fi where I monitor the camera on my phone. That's it. It's all I want!! My paranoia is now in motion - do these people monitor this camera? Is someone else, other than me able to see what this camera is recording?? I will try contacting this company again, but I am not anticipating any answers. I may just have to take a loss and trash this thing just for my own peace of mind. Chalk it up to a BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

Finally was able to download and install, after much frustration and time. Worked for a couple of minutes, then started with the "offline" nonsense - just as a previous reviewer stated. I'll keep trying, but patience is running out. Will post again in a few days. Hopefully won't have to return this.
Update: Dec 11/24
Purchased this for disabled family member's condo so that I could monitor remotely even though I live close by. Finally got it working in my home to try it out. Set up in her condo went well, and I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and could view remotely. The location of the camera captures quite a wide area. Brightness and contrast can be adjusted to suit lighting and time of day.
Problem 1. I put in a SD card, but nothing was recorded when I tried to view on my computer.
Problem 2. Alerts were sounding on my phone several times a minute - even when there was no one home and no motion in the home. (This seems to be resoved for the time being).
Problem 3. When the micrphone is on there is a constant sound like running water. Voice can barely be heard and words not understood.
I have just reached out to the company. Will post another update.
Dec 27/24 - Here's the update. Nothing to report! Company could not be bothered responding and addressing my issues. Never heard back from them. Still using it as I can see what I need to see. Will not recommend it and certainly will not buy it again.
