Pay Attention When Installing

1. Make sure that the power cord is attached to both metal needles, then insert the metal needles into the conductor when you put the power cord through the connector.

2. If you need to remove the wires from the fixture and then reconnect it to the connector, please insert the wires into the jack’s bottom through its center. Make sure that the metal needles in the jack penetrate the insulation to reach the conductor.

    I was looking for a reliable connector for landscape lighting discovering a number of my existing lights were not functional due to the wiring connection to the inground cable were not reliable any longer.

    I found this product on 鶹, upon further visual inspection on the website, the design was quite much more reliable and rugged for our temperatures in Canada, specifically with with the harsh winters.

    Upon arrival, the product is exactly what I was looking for. Most of the connectors that come with the lighting equipment are not sturdy, difficult to manipulate and are not very reliable. The design enables to insert existing lighting cable, into a snap on connector, and then the main body crimps on the inground cable securely. It was a snap to make reliable connections.
    I rated the article high except found them overpriced for us in Canada, given the US 鶹 site had them much better priced even with exchange rate.

    Connectors are easy to use and quick to install. Only problem is, the pins that penetrate the main cable rust and disintegrate. They last about 2yrs and then need to be replaced. I tried silicone around the pins before installing them and that seemed to extend the life span by a year. We live in a very wet climate so they might last considerably longer in a dry location.

    They are easy to use but if your 12V 12 gauge landscape light cord is over 20 years old like mine they don't penetrate the hardened casing. So I used a heat gun to soften the plastic casing and they pierced it then very easy. But I had to heat until the casing was too hot to touch so I am not sure a hair dryer will be enough. I am sure they will work great without heating on newer 12 gauge cord. Other than they are well designed and so much better than the typical landscape light connectors. These are the best I have tried so I recommend them.

    Easy to use, no wire stripping required, this is a superior design that makes it easy to make a good solid connection on the first try. Had an existing low voltage setup around the pool, using 12 gage wire. Many of the lights had stopped working. The original connectors at the end of each light were brittle / broken and would not hold onto the wire reliably. I cutoff the old connectors and replaced them with these and I couldn't be happier since all my lights are working again. Just received these today, used them right away so I cant address water resistance , but from the design I expect no trouble. Highly recommend

    I purchased six of these because the Home Depot LV lights have a nice connector.... that always breaks in half. These are cleverly designed, you put each wire from the light into a hold, press that done and the position the power cable between the prongs and snap it shut. It's a little fussy there, but less so than others, and once it's locked it stays locked.

    It will be a little harder to use on heaver gauge wire, but they're tough enough you can you a pair of slip pliers to force it closed.

    The plastic is tough, and will last a while in the ground. The question on water resistance is a silly one, since low voltage lights don't need to be water tight or even water resistant.

    They are expensive, but they can be reused, and they'll probably last for ever.

The final result is beautiful. We only had the 2 front porch lights before. Now everything in the picture is our new Leonlite set. My neighbors loved it so much they went and got the same set for their house! I like the idea of solar lights but they just don't work at all. LED is a great energy saver and gives off much better light than they had in the past.
