Product description

The new LENOX® Aviation Snips feature improvements that any Pro will notice and appreciate. The enhanced mechanical advantage not only makes it 20% easier to cut than the previous LENOX® snips, but also maximizes the cut length relative to hand span to maximize cut per squeeze; two very important features when cutting sheet metal. The enhanced finished process on the blade prevents material catching when cutting, and the patented blade connection on the pivot bolt prevents loosening and blade separation- a common frustration that prematurely sends snips on the market to the trash. Identifying color coating on both the body and handle-ends allows end users to quickly spot which snip it is (left, right, or straight) in both the toolbox and pouch. Improved ergonomics combined with an added elastomer grip on the backside handle provides comfort and stability. A smooth texture on the other handle allows the fingers to slide when squeezing providing power and ease of use.

    Like I wrote above, if you are gonna work in metal cladding, especially doing the molding, they are not good enough because they dont have enough leverage to cut double sheet and when you are cutting J-moulding, L or even drip-edge, you gonna start swearing in no time. But you are working in HVAC and need to cut circle... these are for you.

    Overall, I may need to get used to these before I can give a completely unbiased review but at the moment, they are not quite as good as the Bluepoint (I have seen almost identical (to Bluepoint) looking Snips named as "Midwest"?) in my honest extensive opinion
    These "LENOX Tools Snips" are currently two thirds the price of the "Midwest" Snips & less than one third the price of the Current Bluepoint offering
    Lifespan, Longevity & re-adjustment are yet to be tested but these are almost cheap enough to be sort of classed as a consumable?

    Unable to comment on the longevity but my previous Bluepoint Snips are & always have been a real pain to re-adjust correct once they have either started to blunt or become misaligned
    (Requires the tightening of either a Torx "Newer Snips" or Slot Head "Older Snips Screw Bolt to pull the 2 opposing Blades together whilst tightening a 11mm retaining Nut from the rear) it is extremely difficult to set them back up as per the Factory setup??
    These "LENOX Tools Snips" do not have a Screw Bolt? just a retaining Nut?? I'm not sure how they would be readjusted in the future if required??

    Just got these for doing a siding job. After a few weeks of using them I can say they are very well designed. They cut better than other brands like Stanley or milwuakee, the serrated edge is nice for cutting lengthwise, and they have good leverage for easy cuts. Can't say much yet about durability. If they rust out or fail on me I'll update my review. I have been using them outside in the snow. I've thrown them down in the snow and used them all day and when I took them inside they weren't rusty or stiff the next day. Good quality steel. I don't think they're pure stainless even though they are shiny. They are magnetic but very resistant to rust. Very impressed so far.
