I bought this to replace a cable bike lock I was using, as trying to uncoil the wire was time consuming and irritating. While I don't think this would prevent someone determined to steal your bike, it's very sturdy and will buy you time. The unit is kind of heavy but the sleeve around the chain makes it very smooth and comfortable to work with. As people have mentioned, the key is a little tricky to get in the right way as there seem to be multiple free rotating discs that need to be lined up for the key to be inserted all the way. I suspect this is an intentional design to combat someone trying to pick the lock. Overall I'm happy with it.

    I think that this is a good solid lock. If someone is determined to steal your bike, they will do it with whatever tools they need. For the average person, this is a more than substantial deterrent and I feel confident leaving my bike with this chain lock. It also easily fits in my rear bag.

    This is a good, chunky lock that's long enough to be a fit for most situations. Mildly heavy, but that's to be expected.
    My only con is the keyway. It is a bit difficult sometimes to insert the key and if it isn't quite all the way in it will still turn but not move the locking bolt. This is a lock you really have to use two hands for and get right down beside it to see what your doing.

    Wanted a wearable lock but didnt want to pay double for a simple buckle added. This one fits around my waist perfectly. I wear a 38 size pants. You could probably adjust it with some velcro to cinch it around your waist or you can sling it around your shoulder and chest pretty easy too.

It can get annoying specially if you're in a hurry. Let's just hope there are no zombies around when you're locking/unlocking it. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars.
