Product Description
This jumbo set of grit includes enough media to tumble 25 pounds of rock!
Step 1: 1 lb of 60-grit coarse silicon carbide. Start the process by smoothing rough edges and shaping the stone.
Step 2: 1 lb of 150-grit medium silicon carbide. Further refines the shape, removing deep scratches.
Step 3: ½ lb of 600-grit fine silicon carbide. Begins the smoothing process and preps the surface for polish.
Step 4: ½ lb of 1200-grit aluminum oxide polish. Delivers a brilliant, mirror-like shine.
Bonus: 1 lb of ceramic tumbling media. Helps cushion stones, improve barrel balance, and maximize grit effectiveness.
Grit is based by weight, with steps 1 and 2 requiring 1 pound each, and steps 3 and 4 needing 0.5 pound each. For consistency, all grit is packaged in uniform jars, but fill levels vary due to weight and density differences.
STEP 1 - Weight: 1LB
Step 1 media grit is to smooth out sharp points and edges.
STEP 2 - Weight: 1LB
Step 2 media grit is smoothing out the rocks even more.
STEP 3 - Weight: 1/2LB
Step 3 media grit is starting to polish the rocks.

Step 4 media grit is the final polish of the rocks. Don't forget, slow speed and long polishing times will generally get you the best results!
