I'm in Colorado Springs and I looked and looked for this series here in The USA for a reasonable price and then someone suggested I try 鶹 Canada and I found it sold by a third party seller (Sunrise Records) at a very low price and in new condition. The series itself is great. Right from the pilot featuring one of the last appearances by the great Richard Basehart who then proceeded to narrate til his death in 1984 and continued in the credits narration til 1986 (Admiral Nelson on Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea) the series had great production values for the Eighties (a little known fact is that the pilot was filmed five years before the series was picked up - 1977 to be exact). The rapport between Michael Strong (David Hasselhoff) and K.I.T.T. the car (William Daniels)is solidly tongue in cheek but surprisingly strong emotionally as well throughout the series. And the sweet and sour relationship between Michael and Kitt's creator Devon Miles (the ever urbane Edward Mulhare) provided many a funny and poignant moment for 84 episodes. And of course for the teen boys (of all ages) Kitt's female mechanic Bonnie Barstow (Patricia McPherson) was a knockout. I'm also sure Hasselhoff pulled in a fair share of the ladies himself. While it lasted only four years Kight Rider spawned the neatest car ever and provided men and boys with a treasured fantasy experience of action and adventure that remains with us today. My grandson loves K.I.T.T. I even had to find him a model. Overall a great action/adventure/buddy series that has something for everyone...but mostly fun...fun...fun....
And in a final note I want to say as someone from the United States what a pleasant shopping experience it was to deal with Sunrise Records. They made my buying experience a real treat. They mailed promptly and for my fellow statesiders info the Canada Post tracking number provided on shipments to the U.S. can be used after it crosses the border on the USPS website to track it's steady advance to your door - and all Canadian DVD's play in the U.S. just in case you didn't know that. The shipment arrived in excellent condition and is the collector box with the flashing lights (dazzles the grandson) and they packed it well enough to survive a nuclear attack I think. [sidebar: make sure your shipments are sent Canada post (they have a shipping agreement with the USPS) to avoid duties etc. Using UPS or FedEx sometimes runs into additional costs this side of the border]

Brings Back Good Memories Growing Up.
Bought this as a present for my parents anniversary, remembering when I was younger the good times we had on a weekend watching Knight Rider. Product came exactly how it was displayed, some people complain about the 16 disks, but it's worth it. I just labeled the top left corner of the sleeves with numbers so they can stay in the correct order. The corners of the box was a little squished, but that probably happened during shipment, rather then that I'm happy with this purchase.

I purchased this as a gift from my brother. I was happy to find it. The box was small compact ( great but underwhelming for price). The price.. high. I was expecting it cleaned up but the episodes are not remastered. Not terrible but not HD. For the price I thought they were cleaner? Sometimes you will see a fly, dust, noise. I say its worth $39 for what you get, but because its not streaming, playing anywhere, and you cant find the dvds used easily, and so they get you on that. Overall, its a good gift for an 80s nostalgia trip down memory lane. TV is so bad right now, we have gone back to old shows on dvds & blurays.
The story is darker than I recall. The origin of Michael Knight. And K.I.T.T is abused excessively I find, now that I watch it as an adult. Like what?? That car is way over abused lol. And David Hasselhoff was really at his prime here. He could have modelled, but I am glad he went into action drama instead. Even Bay Watch was made fun of back in the day, but watching it now, it was a good show! the rescue stories with conspiracies, and casting was good. Watching it now, without having my teenage anxiety, over achieving those body images, seriously just freed me to watch it. And I enjoyed it. They just dont make anything like this anymore. They knew how to focus on faces with dialogue and the only show doing this successfully was Supernatural, When Calls the Heart. Because of 4K they stopped filming up close! Everything is DEI and tainted in wokism. It cant be family friendly anymore. So back to old shows it is.
Theme songs today are unmemorable. Except True Blood, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill and Game of Thrones theme songs. Xfiles and Star Trek still considered 90s. There might be more from today, but are not iconic. Knight Rider theme has been my ringtone for 16 years. The 80s ruled with the theme songs including cartoons. G-IJoeeeeeeeA Real American Heroooooo, GIJoe is the-eh eh ere.
Well, if you want to watch light but fun action, non stressful, cool 80s tv, get it.
4 stars is due to pricing and non creative boxset.
