Depending on the sharpness of the knife you are sharpening it could be 2 rolls to touch up the blade or a few more to sharpen the blade. I returned the other 2 I tried & ordered this one. I am happy with it & not a lot of money spent on it. It has worked well on my pocket knives so far. Will update on my other knives later.
