- Reviewed in Canada on July 27, 2024Verified PurchaseUpdate 4 week review : im quite happy with this little guy still. The only beef so far after 4 weeks of use is the brake leaver locking mechanism. It doesn’t hold in place or does’t release easily anymore. You have to push it from underneath with your thumb. Minor issue if you consider how the mobility this thing gave me….
Original review : Wow, had this for 3 days now and its an absolute game changer. I tried typical crutches, but im 300 lbs and they hurt and restrict movement so much. Plus with painkillers and relaxers and risked falling all the time. Going to bathroom was a real challenge. I tried forearm crutches and it was and improvement while waiting for this thing. My first reaction when it arrive was that it was heavy. Assembling it was a breeze without instructions. It is well build, solid and very sturdy. My 4 tires hold pressure no problems. It makes moving about sooo much safer. Brakes work really well and the leg rest is real comfortable… dont waste your money on the memory foam add-on, its stiff and makes it dangerous as it sits way too high. The rover fits in real tight places. So far i havent noticed any tire marks or anything and i dont wale everyone out in the middle of the night when i get up now. I installed a ram coffee holder on it and an olight flashing for night time around the house. I tried it outside too. Amazingly smooth on pavement, concrere and gravel. It works well on wet grass too. Just watch for ruts and holes as they will tend to throw the balance off a bit. So far extremely satisfy
Cons : on the next itteration, the rear axle should have an open differential concept so both wells can spin independently. This will allow for much tighter turns too. You’ll just need to double up the braking system for each wheel.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 4, 2024Verified PurchaseI needed a knee walker due to a foot injury. I didn’t want one and thought I could manage with crutches. Boy was I wrong. I did some research to find something that would be sturdy and provide sufficient traction so it would not to slow me down in my daily outdoor activities. This walker did not disappoint! It goes practically anywhere. It is so much better than crutches. I can’t believe I fought getting one. I kept this for outside and the crutches for inside. I was hesitant on the colour but after seeing it, it’s great. Who knew I’d get so many complements on my new ride! I’d actually give it 4.5 stars, if possible, as the drum brake is a little jerky when going down a grade. However, I’ve only had it less than a week so it may smooth out. This is the mountain bike of knee walkers. I would also recommend the basket, it can be quite difficult to steer with one hand when holding something in the other. As guy you say no way but it’s so practical when needed (holds a six pack 😁 in a small cooler) and it’s removable. This walker has allowed me to continue doing what I enjoy as I recover from this injury. Thank-you Knee Rover!
- Reviewed in Canada on August 7, 2024Verified PurchaseBroke my foot and tired of crutches within a week. This won’t replace them 100% but this knee scooter is a definite life changer. 500 is a lot to spend.but the other models had small crappy plastic wheels. No idea how they would possibly work on a street . Large 12 inch air filled wheels is the best way to go. I have NO issues at all with the brakes or the brake lock as they work great. No problems at all with tires but can be a pain to pump up . Another thing - YES, these tires WILL mark up the floor. Easy to assemble out of the box but suggest to line the bolts as within a couple weeks the linkage will stiffen up and squeak. Just get wd40 and spray on the linkage bolts and that will be resolved. For 500 they should’ve thrown in a basket at least! I did end up buying that as well and it’s very useful. Get this rig, it’s a great piece of kit so far after a couple weeks.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 3, 2025Verified PurchaseThis scooter is priced pretty high, however, it is not for everyone, but it has been a saviour for me. To make this review simple, I’ll list the pro’s and con’s, alternating, so the next buyer can decide. I have had this for a a little over a month and I waited to write this review once I had a chance to test it out.
Pro 1:
- Large , air inflated wheels. I live in a village with gravel road. Having large wheels really helps to sustain the balance, stability and control, and air inflated tires allow absorption of uneven terrain, which works as a suspension and reduces the impact on your knee and leg.
Con 1:
- Large tires make it hard to navigate around tight corners. While my house is big and this is not an issue, for someone with narrow hallways, driving this unit can be difficult and cumbersome. If you live in an apartment building and have pavement throughout your travels, save your money and select a smaller unit, as this scooter is quite heavy and cumbersome, and I would not recommend folding and lifting it on your own due to its weight alone ( I am a male in good physical shape, but the size and weight of the scooter is difficult to handle if you can only stand on one leg only, which can throw you out of balance)
Recommendation: solid balance and smooth ride on unpaved roads, multi-terrain and for houses with sufficient space.
Pro 2:
- Solid built frame, multiple adjustments for height, quality of materials after exposure to rain (knee pad), no rust observed
Con 2:
-As mentioned on all other reviews— tire inflation is a disaster. Despite having all types of tools in the world, i was boggled with complexity of a simple task like inflating the tires. The nozzles are positioned so weird and bent in the way that it requires some additional extension to inflate the tires (for an average joe). Luckily , I had the right tools on hand, however, it was still a struggle and if I had not used high-end Milwaukee inflator, which shows the PSI, honestly, i don’t know how a normal person supposed to inflate this. Due to that, they lose 1 star in my review
Recommendation: if you don’t have the right tools to inflate or know someone who does, good luck!
Pro 3:
- movement. There is no way i could move this quick and efficient without this unit. Crutches are literally stone age compared to how fast you stroll around in this. Using iWalk 3.0 in comparison is quite scary once you get used to this rover. The balance and freedom and speed are incomparable. This truly gave me a freedom to zoom through my house, paved streets, shopping malls, etc, with comfort.
Cons 3:
- folding the unit is difficult without help, if you can only stand on one leg. The silly design on the front, which definitely needs much engineering improvement, requires unscrewing , pulling down and shifting the securing “screw” to both fold and unfold. In my condition, i find it extremely difficult (to bend that way and to perform that), however, it is even more difficult for my wife to understand how to use shift the safety pin (for both up and down handle position). Making this product so versatile, it feels like the most important part was just overlooked or someone just designed it after hangover. Very disappointed.
Recommendation : you don’t need this large of the unit and can get away with a smaller one (with air tires preferred for comfort). I believe that the handle bar securement system is bad due to the size of the unit. If not tightened after “hook up” it very wobbly and dangerous, but if over tightened, it wont close.
Pro 4: hand brakes are very reliable so far, providing great control when applied properly
Con 4:
Brake hold button doesn’t hold the scooter from rolling, as it doesn’t apply enough force
Recommendation: I believe the instructions mentioned something about brake force adjustment but I threw it out by mistake, hence, I’m not sure whether I can adjust the tension push-brake button.
Overall— I highly recommend the unit due to its comfort , stability and built, however, for those who don’t require extra solid stable scooter, as they reside in tighter spaces and move around smooth pavement, this would be unnecessary overkill and waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely contraption
Verified PurchaseA little difficult to build, so definitely buy it prior to surgery or ask someone to help put it together.
However, worth every penny spent.
The knee scooter has increased my mobility and makes getting from point a to b so seamless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than crutches and a whole lot of fun!
Verified PurchaseSo I had Achilles tendon reattachment and repair surgery done. This means zero weight bearing for some time. Crutches were too temping for me to put weight on the foot and a knee scooter is highly recommended regardless. Decided to spend the extra money (HSA dollars) and get this one. Some specs on me... I'm 5'9" (1.75M) and 195-205lbs (91kg). I'm also generally good with balance as well and overall decent health. I thought for what it was it was strong and well built. I didn't need any extra padding for my knee. I was able to take it out in my yard comfortably. You aren't going to do any bike flips with it but was able to go over my bits of bumpy grass without too much issue. I do think the air filled tires were key to keeping the "rough" bumps at bay. Wife was able to fold it up and lift it into a Rav4 trunk and use the mechanism to collapse it without to much issue. My daughter thinks it is a toy for her to play with (10 year old). Is it "unstable"? I don't think so. I have a slightly tilted driveway and if I came down it too fast and tried a full turn oh ya you would flip, but I assume you don't do that. For those with qualities issues, I had none of those. The wheels were straight upon assembly. Wheels didn't leak air, never had to add more air during my month solid usage indoors and out. The issue with the nuts on the wheels is semi legit. I think the rounded tips on the one I got reduced any major issues but I was aware of them at all times and a few times it would have been nice if those bolts were recessed. Turning radius is large, but it's that or be even more prone to tipping. These things aren't a car with a wide base. Its designed to help you be mobile. One trick around the large radius for me was to hold the break which brakes the back wheel then "wheelie up and rotate" when I needed to. Use that tip at your own comfort level or not at all. I also only used it on a single floor for the most part other than when I got it outside. I used crutches for the floor I wasn't going to be on very much. I did think just buying a super cheap one but crutches worked good enough for those few times I had to go to my second floor. In the end now that I'm finally cleared for weight bearing walking (in boot) again I no longer need it would be the right time to review. I would 100% recommend this if anybody has this type of surgery and are understanding that it's not a wide wheel based "stable" device. I never tipped, I never felt unsafe, brakes worked great and if you know how to adjust wire brakes (motorcyclist and cyclist here) you can tune them in perfect. The seller also took HSA for this which is great and the shipped product came on time and there were no damages upon arrival to the shipping box. Assembly was easy for me and intuitive enough. Thank you Kneerover for making a product made my life a lot easier than it could have been during my recovery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just get it! Excellent
Verified PurchaseLet me start with this bad boy is quality at its best. I mean every thing is well thought out from the wheels, solid frame, adjustable bars, seat, folding handle bar and brake locking mechanism. Rolls smoothly and best of all take it on any terrain. I didn’t have trouble filling tires as others have reported. Appears to be very stable. Assembly took maybe 10 minutes. If you have trouble putting it together, find another line of work. The only complaint, it should come with a basket like the lower priced models. After a 10 days on crutches this gave me my freedom back. Only 6 months more 😁

1.0 out of 5 stars Major issues in assembling, Knee pad now failing
Verified PurchaseThis review should really be 4-5 stars as the the product itself is very good, however I received mine with the following issues:
1. All the tyres were completely flat. Should be easy enough to put air in them, however there is no room to locate a schrader valve inflator. Had to order 90 deg elbows from 鶹 as the 4 Shrader inflators I have did not have the room to locate on the valve.
2. The steering was very tight. Turned out the headstock had been overtightened. Fortunately I had a wrenches that could cater for the 36mm double locknuts.
3. The handlebar was missaligned. Fairly easy to rectify with the correct tools but the allen securing bolt was incredibly tight.
This review should really be 5 stars as the the product itself is very good.
I'm not sure how any other purchaser would have rectified the above problems, who has 36mm wrenches in their workshop? Likewise the inflation of the tyres, how are you supposed to inflat them if you cannot get a tyreinlator to the valves?
2 months of use and the knee pad is now failing. (see pictures)

5.0 out of 5 stars KneeRover is outstanding! 鶹 not so much.
Verified PurchaseI like my All-Terrain KneeRover, it’s perfect for rolling over hard floors, carpet, and small bumps with ease. But where it really shines (compared to other models) is outdoors. I’ve taken this thing everywhere one might reasonably attempt to go, including through loose driveway stones with relative ease and stability. The large(r) diameter pneumatic tires help immensely in that regard. Other models with hard/small tires are prone to catching on cracks, pebbles, and even the small transition strips between carpeting and hard flooring.
NOTE: if you are physically weak, unstable, have balance issues and/or have difficulty backing a car in close quarters, then, a KneeRover may not be for you. This thing doesn’t turn very short, so it helps immensely to plan ahead when you enter a room, and have your route planned out in advance.
Note: This note is more of a comment than a complaint. The KneeRovers turning radius is necessarily large so that stability is maintained - otherwise people would be turning too short (at speed) and falling off. If your balance and physical condition permits it, you can lift the front wheels while standing on your “good” foot/leg and “pirouette“ on the rear wheel(s) to shorten your turning radius, thereby reducing the number of back and forth steps required to turn around in tight spaces (like a bathroom).
While the positive benefits of the KneeRover far outweighs the negatives, there are a few things that could be better:
* Wobbly steering column connection. As long as you assemble it properly the steering column and retaining bolt will stay secure... but it’s - loose fit and it wobbles.
* The brake seems to require excessive force to get it into parking brake mode, and even then it doesn’t seem to stay engaged.
* Max air pressure on the tires is 40psi, which is still a bit soft for my 270 lbs. because they feel just a little more squishy than I’d like.
I initially bought my All-Terrain KneeRover “Used-Like-New, with all original packaging” from 鶹 (see first photo).
What I received (from 鶹) was a compact/portable model (meaning foldable) KneeRover GO with small, hard wheels (see photo two).
The markings on the box indicated that it was an All-Terrain model, but that’s not what was jammed inside. And 鶹’s claim that it included “all original packing” was literally a joke (see third photo). The original purchaser obviously purchased two (2) different KneeRover models, then pulled a switcheroo by returning the less expensive model KneeRover inside the more expensive box! And 鶹 never verified the contents when they accepted the return; rather they merely re-sold it as the ($100 more expensive) All-Terrain model.
OK, I get it, mistakes happen. But what REALLY steamed my clams is 鶹 flat-out refused to make it right by shipping me another All-Terrain KneeRover, until I had returned (and they had physically received) the KneeRover GO that had erroneously sent me.
That was unacceptable since I had already spent 5 days waiting to receive my KneeRover from 鶹 the first time. Not only did 鶹 refuse to ship another (hopefully the correct model) KneeRover until they had the first one back in their hands, they said that it would take an additional 5-7 business days from when they received my return before I could expect a replacement.
At this point I elected to switch from an 鶹 Exchange to a Return/Refund, and called KneeRover directly.
Trey at KneeRover was exceptionally helpful, even discounting my purchase by graciously applying a sale coupon to my All-Terrain KneeRover and even provided free shipping. I had my brand-new KneeRover directly from KneeRover in LESS time than 鶹 would have taken to correct their mistake... and at a price that was within $5 of 鶹’s “Used-Like-New” price.
CONCLUSION: While I am thoroughly disgusted with the refusal by 鶹 to make good on their mistake, I am grateful to have found KneeRover because the walker that the hospital sold me (so I could get around with my shattered ankle) was killing my shoulders since I had to lift my entire weight for EVERY step. Like anything else there are aspects that are the result of compromises between functionality and safety, but KneeRover has done an excellent job of providing an outstanding product that fills a niche.
HOORAY for KneeRover! 鶹, not so much.

Like anything else there are aspects that are the result of compromises between functionality and safety, but KneeRover has done an excellent job of providing an outstanding product that fills a niche.
HOORAY for KneeRover! 鶹, not so much.
