Flex Edge (silicone) chips off the beaters!
I've had this hand mixer for a little over a year and maybe use it a couple of times a month. The silicone coating on the beaters is chipping off while in use. I picked the piece in the picture out of my cookie batter! Upon close inspection, I found several more spots on the beaters where the silicone had chipped off. Very disappointed. The unit itself works well - it's the beaters that are the problem. Hoping I will be able to replace the beaters without the silicone Flex Edge.

    arrived quickly. works well. However I am not a fan of the flex edge beaters. They do a good job of cleaning the bowl as you mix, but make it hard to control. They make the beaters jerk around while your mixing. could be an issue with me as I am elderly and not as strong as I used to be. All and all, I would buy again.
