    I have an older Kitchen Aid and this paddle worked well. I just had to adjust the height of the mixer to ensure the beater didn't hit the sides of the bowl. I would have given it 5 stars if I had noticed the defect on it before I used it. There is a piece of excess white coating that has created a sharp edged drip which I fear will chip off and affect the coating of the paddle. Oh well. Let's see how long this lasts. It is a great price and it fits. I'll know what to look for next time.

    This new blade replaced the old original blade that had started to chip (due to rubbing on side of metal bowl) (only made aware of this issue recently, AFTER chip had occurred). New blade recalibrated to the mixing bowl (so no rubbing) and it should be perfect.
