These Kalysky Landscapes Adult Coloring Books are Great. ��You receive 3 Coloring Books in the package. ��Each book contains pictures of landscapes that are stunning and beautiful. ��They have the spiral ring on the top for easy flipping. ��The pages are thicker and durable. ��You could use crayons, colored pencils, paints or markers on these and won't bleed through. ��The pictures are well marked and outlined boldly. ��There is a page inside that shows what the pictures will look like colored, giving suggestions to it.

I have to admit that these pictures do have small areas to them and can be troublesome in spots. ��I really enjoy coloring with my Granddaughter, which inspired me to get these Adult Coloring Books. ��They are fun and enjoyable. ��Great for spare time, relaxing or anxiety. ��Very happy with them. ��Great for any age.

Price is Great for 3 Books. ��Highly Recommend them. ��Would make a nice gift idea too.

Complicated coloring books with interesting pictures

This set of three spiral bound coloring books isn't for the faint of heart. These pictures are complicated but if you like to color, they are probably right up your alley. I like that the book is spiral bound, so it will lie flat, and I like that it is bound at the top instead of the side. The paper feels a little lightweight for a coloring book. I use colored pencils for these, that will probably be the best media for this paper to avoid bleed through on the pages. The pictures are outdoors, landscapes, buildings, landmarks, etc. They are very detailed and intricate. I worked on a picture for two hours and still had a long way to go. Each book has a page in the front that shows the pictures in color, so you could refer to that if you need inspiration although those pictures are kind of small to see the detail. Each book has 20 pages so you will be set for months. Good price for the set of three.

These coloring books have fairly complicated images and lines, so I can try my hand at shading and mixing colors without having to start with a blank page. The first two pages of each book have thumbnail images of completed paintings for reference, and encourages you to use your own preferred colors. I found the thumbnails very helpful -- it gives me a starting point for designing my own color scheme (no blank page syndrome!) and gives me a good idea of what each picture is. I can get a general idea of that from the uncolored page, but the thumbnails help me a lot to make choices.

The paper is on the lightweight side but does the job fine. The pages are printed on one side only, and the set includes a cardboard back sheet/blotter to prevent bleed through. Each book is spiral bound at the top, so good for lefties/righties/ambidexters, and the spiral is about 0.5 inch/7 mm diameter. I can comfortably rest my wrist on the spiral to get a comfortable angle for coloring some curves and contours.

The thumbnail reference page suggests you "...use more colored pencils to color, the effect will be better." I'm not sure if that means use many shades of color or to color densely; I'm guessing the large variety is what they mean. The paper has a smooth surface and I've had fun using colored pencils, translucent acrylic markers, and opaque acrylic markers, with many slight color differences and with layering different colors to shade/contour areas even more and within outlined areas. (I have several large sets of colored pencils and markers so have a huge range of subtle color differences.)

I'm having a wonderful time coloring these images, and the set has variety to suit my different moods. I'm thinking of this set as "training wheels" as I learn to make my own art from scratch, but they're a great creative project all on their own. I highly recommend them.

I'm enjoying these so far. The paper is smooth, and it's thick enough to not feel cheap. It's strange that they recommend colored pencils, but the paper has so little tooth. However, they seem to have had an art style in mind where shading is done in blocks of color, rather than a lot of blending or layering. I'm guessing that's the idea behind suggesting you use "more colored pencils." Looking at it that way, the paper makes more sense. Just be aware of this if this isn't your style.

The fact that there are colored examples of each page means that someone has actually tried coloring them. There are several times in other books I've seen little things that don't make any sense, but they don't call attention to themselves until you're working with those details. Sometimes lines stop too short to finish forming a shape, or I have to find a coherent way to color abstract "filler" areas that work in black and white, but the objects can't be identified, or they seem to have impossible geometry. So far, I've found a couple of questionable details, but I doubt it's egregious, if someone had to make sense of them before publication.

All in all, these are fun coloring books! They're a different style from most of my other books, so it's fun to experiment with them.

These coloring books have a ton of details for you to color in the pages are tall with wide sections for easy coloring the paper isn't flimsy and I've never had an issue using colored pencils. The thickness is perfect for heavy layering without worrying about ripping the paper and since there's so many details to color you can really use all the colors you want even in the same section id recommend using similar but different colors to make it look more like the reference image every page has a reference image that lets you get started if you're stuck on a color choice. Overall the three books each have a different theme and they're pretty relaxing after a day of stressful work I enjoy coloring while listening to an audiobook and these are perfect for that.
