- Reviewed in Canada on June 6, 2024Verified PurchaseWhat a great find! This coffee grinder is so much quieter than others in this price range. It also has adjustable cup sizes and grind sizes. Perfect for our French press.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 9, 2021Verified PurchaseThis works very well for me. So far I have only used it for coarse grinds for my french press, but it does a great job for that.
I look forward to trying it with espresso.
You can set the amount to grind per use, which is a handy feature.
It's a bit noisy, but I won't fault it for that.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 6, 2025Verified PurchaseNot as good as the Bodum it replaced, but hopefully more durable. The grounds in the receptacle stick to the plastic due to static electricity. The receptacle is a bit awkward to pour out due to it's half-moon opening. So far we're satisfied.

- Reviewed in Canada on January 12, 2022Verified PurchaseI purchased this grinder in March. Barely after 8 months it started not to grind at set levels. I use Bialetti mocha pot and according to instructions I should set it at 8. As a result coffee grind is very coarse. It is not suitable for mocha pot. Changing couple of notches down for espresso does not change anything. On the top of it when grinder finishes its grind engine roars to unbearable noise level. I sent email to Krups after 7 days nothing, no response. I tried to call them 3 times and after 25-30 minutes hold I had to give up. I was left with this grinder I do not want to use anymore and Krups is not willing to help. That was my first and last purchase of this brand. I do not recommend it to anyone. In July I purchased for my mother another grinder Delonghi which works like a night and day comparing to this unit.

Great quality
- Reviewed in Canada on December 21, 2022Verified PurchaseI’m not a coffee expert but I am a coffee snob. First off I don’t believe that “flavour” has any place in this review of the grinder. The grinder does the job it is meant to do - grind coffee. We’ve experimented with the different grind settings and honestly there is no change in the end result - they all taste the same. The flavour comes from the type of bean you grind and the type of roast that the coffee has undergone. Cleaning the grinder is laborious - it takes time and effort but that’s to be expected. The grinder is easy to use but the end result is messy. Care must be taking when spooning the ground coffee into a pod or wherever it’s going to go as it is easy to spill. The little brush that is housed in the centre of the grinder is just that - little and almost too small to be of much use but… it works. I’m okay with this grinder and will keep it because it is better than the old one I’ve had for 20 years. People have complained about this grinder being too loud - they should hear my old one!!! Anyways… it’s a coffee grinder. It grinds coffee. It works.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 7, 2023Verified PurchaseI don't have much to compare it to, but this conical grinder is great for my wife and me. We use the finest setting for a mochi pot style coffee maker. Once we found the setting for the amount we need to make a pot we only have to hit one button every morning and it grinds the perfect amount of coffee for our use. The noise is ok, I can only compare to our old blade grinder and this is quieter.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok which is bad as it claims so much more
Verified PurchaseIt doesn’t get your coffee fine enough at all
Super disappointed as I did a lot of research
My view , just buy powder unless you live next to a coffee plantation .
As powder and beans are packed the same into sealed containers and the powder saves all the mess and roaches that follow even a micro coffee ground left over after grinding

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for a budget
Verified PurchaseI've been using this grinder since October 2022, and it's still going strong. I chose it because it was under $100 and had excellent reviews, and it hasn't disappointed.
I primarily use it for dark roast beans, and the grind settings work well for my percolators, moka pot, V60, and Aeropress. While it occasionally gums up with impacted grinds, it's fairly easy to unclog—though a bit messy. The static in the container is manageable, but a better solution to prevent it would be appreciated.
The measurements on the front are handy, though I usually weigh my beans before grinding. Adjusting the grind gauge can be a little tricky, but it gets the job done. I also like the kill-switch safety features that stop the grinder if the lid is open or the container isn't properly inserted.
The biggest downside is the noise—it's extremely loud. People often comment on it when they're nearby. That said, it performs significantly better than a blade grinder, and for the price, it’s a solid option that suits my needs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Messy, grinds too much for one person daily
Verified PurchaseI am still within my return window, and I'm keeping it because I don't think there are low cost grinders that do and good job AND don't make a mess.
I use a french press, so I use coarse grind. It does a decent job, but it also creates plenty of fine, staticky pieces that make a mess. I don't understand the design of the catcher either. When you pop the top off: mess. When you dump the grinds: mess.
If you want a (large) cup of coffee, this will give you double the amount of coffee you need. You can either make a crazy strong cup or save the grinds for your next batch.
I've decided to just grind the whole bag of coffee in one go, clean up the (huge) mess, and stash the grind in the cupboard for a month until I need it again. That works for me.
