I'm docking a star as you fundamentally can not change the colours for the music mode. This is disappointing in terms of overall functionality but not entirely a dealbreaker for me. Please update the app to allow solid colours and colour fade/change options for the music spectrums.

I did however hope that in the app, I would be able to change the music mode colours but instead it just cycles between all primary colours at random.

The remote is fine, but the app is required to get the most out of this lamp.
Brightness level is adequate.
It's not a very wide base so it needs a floor that's very level or it'll topple itself over.

It's weird because for something that has SO many options, It kind of feels like it only has a few options in reality. The app allows for scrolling through some various combinations of colour settings, but that's mostly it, colours, what the lights themselves are doing it rather limited, and most of the patterns include a LOT of black space, making it super boring overall.

For direct colour choices, you have a colour wheel, but that too feels rather limited, and you're really just getting intensities of the primary and secondary colours.

It get really bright, and the mic input works great.

Originally I left a 5-star review until i tried "personalizing" the light color - the entire reason for me buying this... What a big miserable FAIL.

Here are **ALL your options** for customization (in their TERRIBLE app):
• select ONE solid color... that's right, just one.
• select one of the MANY ***HORRIBLE UGLY*** presets they have available in their app. (Except for maybe 2 presets that look nice which resemble the colors in the first image of this listing. But the other photo with orange and pink .. DOESN'T EXIST... The rest are fugly)

... That sums it up. Those are your options folks! So if you're looking for the ability to even simply have two colors OF YOUR CHOICE, this product is NOT for you. BASIC LED STRIPS HAVE MORE CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS! Oh! And despite the lamp being JUST THAT - an LED strip behind the lamp cover, it still has LESS variety available.
AND they've set the device up so you are UNABLE to connect to any other app for further customization abilities, which theirs is SEVERELY LACKING.

If, however, you are looking for a simple color light lamp, that is, you just want to be able to choose one solid color, than this is a great lamp 👍

I'll be returning this for sure and probably giving up on my search for a lamp to change the atmosphere since every. single. one. fails. in their ability to customize... Yet they present their products in their listings as though they do. Uuuggghhhhhh. Still better than my last attempt with a god-awful projector, but lacking.

ALSO, their app, which you are forced to use since the lamp doesn't connect to better apps, is like having a virus on your phone. It EATS your battery even when it's not in use. Took me days to realize what the problem was and why, despite having my phone charging all night long, it only reached 34% battery power. RIDICULOUS!

Summary of previous 5-star review:

Light can change the atmosphere of room.
I love that this floor lamp doesn't have those unstable legs, instead it's a sturdy base that doesn't get in the way. Also great that you can customize the height! I didn't want it on my floor but a bannister and this lamp makes that possible since I can make it shorter.

I have a small room and am only using 2 of the 4 light sticks for a shorter lamp and it lights up the space nicely - softly - so I imagine with all 4 it would be a very bright lamp.

One last note, I've found that many color changing lights and projectors don't accurately DIM the lighting, instead they dim the selected color leaving the white light at the same brightness - not this lamp! This lamp has *true dimming* capabilities.
