When it arrived I tested it out on a chicken I was cooking, and tested the chicken with my regular stick-in thermometer. Both measured very close. Right away my husband tried to take it from the kitchen to put with his BBQ things. I told him he could borrow it when he needed it. He really doesn't take care of things very well and I didn't think it would last very long in his care.
Nice freaking unit here. My dog's scared of it but it's not for him to decide on it's fate. It works as intended. I made a holster and I check temperatures every where I go and on everything I see. No, I didn't do that but I just might.
Practical device for checking temperatures both inside and outside my home. Seems to be pretty accurate. I can check the temperature on the sidewalk in Arizona before I walk my dog where temps reached 118 degrees for days last summer. Don’t want her to burn her tootsies.
Works good. Few things are little complicated but I use it for simpler things so it works for me. I think it's good deal for the money. I use for one specific job and it never fails.
