This third party halo strap for the Oculus Quest 3 is serious business. It’s made by KKCOBVR who also make the Infrared light that I use with my Oculus to extend range in the dark.

I already had a different third party head straps for my Quest 3, but the mechanism to tighten the strap wasn’t working properly.

I ordered this one not realizing how substantially bigger it was than the one I previous ordered. This strap is truly a halo, with a stabilizer on the forehead as well as around the back of the head. It was pretty easy to install. The Velcro was a bit confusing, but looking at pictures on line pretty much cleared it up - the photos in the included instructions were quite tiny.

This is great for structural integrity - you really feel that it’s on there securely. The padding is really nice, especially for long plays. I like the way it cups the back of your head as well.

The con with this head strap is also the size. It does not fit in the case that I bought for my Quest 3, unfortunately. And it’s quite a large case - it fit with the other third party head strap that I had, and it never occurred to me that it wouldn’t fit with this one. The section that goes over the forehead is really quite substantial.

Overall would buy again. I don’t travel often, and I think it will fit into my Quest 2 case.

As a developer, I liked the feature that you can lift it to the top while still wearing it. However, it changes the focus as well when you put it down. Every time you want to lift it, you need to adjust the distance with the side nobs to push it further. So, when you put it back to the eyes, you'll have to do it again reversedly. It loses the intention of bringing convince. If I need to use two hands to readjust it every time, I'd rather remove the whole thing out of my head.

The second thing I don't like is the head resting on the back. It's not comfortable and the strap doesn't fit my head. I need to tighten it up so I won't feel it’s sliding down. But then it hurts my head.

Honestly, the price is pretty good. For a PCVR user, it might be a good choice. If you don't need to put it on and off so frequently. I think I'll return mine though.

This is the worst.
After fidgeting with the device for a out 30 minutes my nose smeared the lenses, I got ultra sweaty, my hair kept getting in the way.

Finally when I had managed to get it aligned with my head/face, the simple turning of my head got it loose again and I smeared the lens again.

When it fit right on my face the halo felt loose or I had my nose in the headset which caused the lenses to fog.

The only way to get it somewhat fitting good on your head is what some other reviewer mentioned, tightening the strap to the point you feel like you've got a vice grip around your head.

Don't be tempted by the price, fork over a little extra money and get a nicer headset wether you need a battery pack or not. I'm going back to the quest 3 strap, it might be a little tight on my face but it beats having to constantly fiddle with this junk and never have it feeling right on your head.

Terrible product.
I forgot to mention. Installing it and removing it is a nightmare. Avoid at all cost.

This halo strap is super comfortable, it really balances and relieves pressure all around making the Quest 3 much more comfortable than with stock strap or with an elite strap. The soft padding of the halo piece and rear piece is a huge plus and the ability to further adjust the tightness of the headset with the extra forward/backwards movement in the front portion makes the headset very tight without being uncomfortable. I am using this without any of the velcro straps and it is perfect.

My complaint however is the snap-on mechanism is hard to remove, they should have added a bit extra plastic to make it easier to remove it from the Quest 3. Also the adjustment mechanism is VERY loud and plasticky, not sure how it will hold up in the long run.

Overall for the price, this is very worth it. I had an elite strap rip-off previously and thought that was good, but this halo design is even better for my big noggin.

- Avere la possibilità di regolare la distanza del visore è impagabile, provato anche senza mascherina e consente di avere una utilizzabilità incredibile
