- Reviewed in Canada on April 27, 2025Verified PurchaseSo far so good, have used once so far. They are solid on our Ford Escape, no shaking. Take your time attaching them to your mirrors, they are a bit finicky to install, but once you have them in the right place for your mirror style, they are good and solid. As with any rubber-type straps, they all become brittle over time. At the end of the trailer towing season, we plan to use a Silicone Treadmill Belt Lubricant to keep the rubber from getting too brittle. We also used a bungy cord on each of the mirrors, simply as a backup safety measure in case they did happen to fall off.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 28, 2023Verified PurchaseI was very concerned about vibration and poor quality strap that I’ve seen from other manufacturers and damaging the painted surface. Also surprisingly to me, Jeep offers no aftermarket mirror extensions.
-the rubber blocks and strap ratchet tightly and are very secure. ☑️
- reasonably straight forward installation ☑️
-very minimal vibration ☑️
-adjustable so it works well will the slightly odd shape of the mirror housing ☑️
Worked above my expectations and would definitely recommend for SUV use.
If I could change 1 thing, it would be great if they had longer arms available to extend the a mirrors out a bit further.

I purchased a pair of these for my 2023 Colorado since custom-fit ones aren't available. You have to fiddle a bit on the clips to get it to fit well, but once you do, they fit well. Because of the slope of the back of the mirror, you will need to get the straps "just so" to get them to fit without danger of slipping. For me, the top of the bracket was as far towards the door as it could go, while the bottom slightly farther away, with maybe an inch gap from the door-side edge of the mirror.
The strap mechanism seems to work well. The ratchet to tighten is easy to do, and the release is also a snap. On a short 2-hour haul with my trailer, I found the mirrors to be solid, slip-free, and there was very little vibration...there was very little "Jell-O" in the image, even at highway speeds. The mirrors themselves have a slight convex shape like a normal passenger-side mirror to increase the field of view. As a bonus, they didn't seem to interfere too much with the blindspot cameras on the underside of mirror.
I've had different universal mirrors in the past, and these ones are better than average. Most give a vibrating image with the constant danger of the straps slipping and sagging, which does not seem to be the case here. My only concern is the danger of the ends of the straps or the ratcheting mechanism breaking, but there are replacements available, which is good.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 27, 2018Verified PurchaseI bought these to pull a tent trailer behind my Ford Escape. The cost of these mirrors was less than half of what I would have had to pay at a local brick and mortar store for the exact same product.
I was very happy with the build quality and function of this product. They seem well made and like they should last for quite a few years. They're not the easiest to attach and adjust, but once they are setup they work great. The mirror adjustment is quite stiff which makes them difficult to adjust once attached, but also keeps them in place while driving. There's a little bit of wind vibration, but the mirrors stay in place and you can always clearly see out of them. It takes some time to get used to looking past your regular mirror and into the trailer mirror.
I was very happy I purchased these. It made driving and backing up my trailer much more manageable than trying to do it with my vehicle's mirrors.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 26, 2020Verified PurchaseThese mirrors work. They will allow you to get from point A to Point B while being able to see around your trailer behind you. Because of the bracket they render the factory mirrors useless unless you bend down to have a look, I would prefer to be able to use both mirrors effectively to be able to see beside you as well as behind you, that is difficult with these attached to your factory mirror. They can be a bit tricky to install, I was able to get them on with a little maneuvering. I did use tie wraps to secure them better as someone else had suggested in the reviews and it worked. The main reason I bought them was because they were less expensive & I had forgotten to order trailer mirrors until the night before I left for my trip and I could have these arrive next day. Overall they work, not the best on the market but for the price they will do just fine.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 28, 2023Verified PurchaseI purchased these about a year ago and has been using these for 4 to 5 trips with total over 4000km. I drive a 2019 Toyota Highlander and they are installed quite well onto my existing side mirrors. The installation process is not particular strange forward. You needed to make they clamps onto your existing mirrors well. But I could not say it is complicated.
This extended mirror can mount quite sturdy. In my first trip, I did not have full confidence and I tied some string around it. But it proved to be very sturdy and I eventually no longer doing it. The rubber clamps did not scratch any paint at all. I am very pleased. It quite hard to adjust the mirror angle but this is also good as the highway wind would not easy move the mirrors.
Overall, this is quite a good tow mirrors, After one year, the mirrors and the ties are still great.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 11, 2022Verified PurchaseAs advertised- no shaking or vibrating when driving, easily adjustable for different mirrors and for angles of sight. I also added a safety line from around the existing mirror to this so if it did come off due to my bad install then i wouldn't lose it. That said it is easy to install and doesn't feel like it will come off.

5.0 out of 5 stars BMW X5 Mirrors are a perfect fit !!
Verified PurchaseMirrors fit my BMWX5 perfectly. Due to the pandemic have been unable to use them with the caravan attached however have tried them out whilst driving the car on it’s own. Mirrors did not come loose or vibrate, so far looking like a winner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not much vibration, CONVEX shape, Good overall bang for the buck
Verified PurchaseI just used these on a 1,200 mile trip picking up a small camper. I'm happy with their performance but here's a list of things I found important:
- The mirrors are convex so the image they produce is smaller than the regular mirror on the drivers side and about the same as the one on the passenger side. This wasn't a problem for me - I liked the extra view but had to remind myself of the difference when backing up. I've attached an image to show the view they provide.
- I have a Toyota 4Runner and the factory mirrors are tapered, getting thinner as you measure from inside to outside. These mirrors attached fine and held pretty well. They did gradually work their way towards the outer edge. It became noticeable after about 700 miles so I pulled over and reinstalled them. In the future I'm planning to place some silver duct tape on the factory mirror frame next to the inside strap clamp so as soon as the mirror starts to slip towards the outside there will be a gap between the tape and the mirror mount.
- when installed I found one time the clamp that grabs the edge of the factory mirror wasn't properly gripping the frame even though when I had started it was properly in place. This means as I was adjusting the straps and tightening the ratchets it popped off. Just something to be aware of. Not a product flaw, just my inattention.
- I expected them to work their way loose so I put a sturdy velcro strap around the base of my factory mirrors and then used zip ties to attach the mirrors to the strap. I figure if one did fall off I at least wouldn't loose it though I could end up dinging the paint on my 4Runner.....
- My girlfirend is going to help me modify a velcro strap to secure the inner ratchet strap to the inside edge of the factory mirror frame. I'm thinking this may prevent the mirror creeping out and falling off.
To sum this up - these mirrors worked great and allowed me to see around a wider camper. They need to be checked regularly just like you would check the hitch and lites regularly. Simple enough and I don't think I'll ever loose one, but if I do I'd be happy to get another one of these to replace it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the 2015 F150. Just don't overtighten.
Verified PurchaseWe recently bought a 2015 F150 and a travel trailer camper. Unfortunately we were unable to find an F150 in the style we wanted that came with the telescoping mirrors so we figured we'd find them aftermarket. Well, since the new F150 is a new redesign, it turns out that aftermarket manufacturers have not designed mirrors for this new model yet. So after combing through the internet we settled on this Fit System Universal mirrors. We have not been disappointed. We recently got back from a 1500 mile round trip and the mirrors performed very well. It took a few minutes to figure out how to tighten and release them, but once we got that under our belts, it was very easy to get them on and off. They fit very securely and we never had a problem with the loosening or vibrating, even at 75 mph on the Interstate while passing semis.
I have seen some reviews where folks have said that the straps have broken. I can see this happening if you overtighten them. The mirrors use a ratcheting system to tighten the straps. The should be tightened until they are secure. The straps are plastic. Even though they appear to be plenty strong, the ratcheting system is easily strong enough to snap the straps if you get overzealous. I suggest that once you get the straps in place, ratchet a couple of times and test for a snug feel. Once they are snug, leave them alone and they should hold very well.
Great deal the price. I highly recommend them.
