    After going through multiple ceramic and glass large teapots, only to have them break during washing or the typical handling of a typical family (mostly the lids), I am glad that I found this one. It is a full 2 litres (I measured it), it feels pretty well balanced for such a large pot, and has a pretty well dripless poring spout. The enamel-on-steel feels like it will last forever. But the metal core of course lets out the heat quickly. That's easily solved by putting a couple of tea towels through the handle as a makeshift tea cozy. After a month or so of heavy family use, I have no regrets with this purchase.

    N.B. We use it only as a tea pot, but it can also be heated on the stove with the burners set no higher than medium - it is a tea kettle too! With the steel core I can only assume it cannot be microwaved.
