- Reviewed in Canada on February 11, 2024Verified PurchaseI've only been using it for a few days, but thus far I am impressed. I've been testing it with Palworld, a game that makes my Steam Deck overheat like crazy, and it keeps the system at a workable temperature. I appreciate that it runs off its own battery instead of siphoning power off the Steam Deck. This means that it does not put a drain on the Deck's battery, and it can be used to cool down the Deck when it is powered off. For the most part, it is quiet. Unless you turn the knob up to the max, then you get some noise and vibration. But I think it can perform adequately at lower settings.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 15, 2024Verified PurchaseI've had this for about a month and I think it makes a huge difference. I sometimes have my steam deck running most of the day on Beasts of Bermuda and normally the CPU and GPU run at around 80 degrees with lowered graphics, but if I run the fan at high speed for a few minutes and then switch it to the lower fan speed it can keep the temps as low as 65-70. I like how it doesn't need to syphon off the steam deck's power and I can have it plugged in separate if needed, but the battery on it lasts pretty long. I think I had it going for about 5 hours on the lowest fan speed before it died, keeping the temp optimum. I have the cheapest steam deck, I'm not sure if the more expensive ones have better cooling or not but I'm happy with how this fan works.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 27, 2025Verified PurchaseWorks bettet than I thought but
A) even on lowest setting, a bit loud. Full blast forget about it unless using earphones or buds
B) pricey Imo. Better If it was 30-40
- Reviewed in Canada on June 21, 2025Verified PurchaseIt is as advertised. We'll have to see how long it lasts.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 6, 2025Verified PurchaseI definitely see less thorttle when playing games with this on.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 15, 2023Verified PurchaseBelieve the hype, this fan does exactly what it says it will. I've experienced a massive drop (8 to 10 degrees) in temperatures and (internal) fan speeds. The model I got clips onto the steamdeck and is removable and can be adjusted from off (still lets vent work), and full speed which provides a dramatic cooling effect. It is a fan, so you know, at full blast it will be noticable noisy - but in situations where you will hit thermal throttle (I have in the past) this will address it. Highly recommend at 40$ price target on sale.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 20, 2024Verified PurchaseWorks perfectly, the Deck runs much cooler.
Also, ive noticed that without the fan, the time it takes to download a game via wifi is WAY longer. After attaching the fan, the time was cut down to 1/3. Either way im very satisfied with my purchase.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 2, 2023Verified PurchaseUsed for a week, has kept my steam deck cool in the middle and has managed to do that while playing intensive large open world games. It attaches and removes easily, comes with an angle adapter and long cord to plug and charge the cooling unit, and unplugged runs good for a few hours. Fan isnt loud even cranked up max, will keep the steam deck running longer into the future with less wear and tear on the unit. I recomend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cooling fan!
Verified PurchaseThe media could not be loaded.
I use it at the highest level at all times to get maximum cooling, and on average, it cooled by about 10 degrees. I could feel a difference through touch, especially when playing larger games (which is where overheating issues come into play according to the multiple accounts I read when looking into the SD), and I haven¡¯t had a single issue with overheating since purchasing this fan.
It is slightly loud (I took a video of the fan on its max setting, keep in mind it does sound a bit louder on video than in person), but it doesn¡¯t bother me one bit, especially when you consider that fans are gonna make some noise if you want them to properly cool off your device. I usually play with a headset on, but on the rare occasions that I¡¯m not using one, the SD is more than loud enough to allow the fan noise to fade into the background. Again, it doesn¡¯t bother me at all, and it¡¯s not as loud as some other cooling fans are.
The charge lasts a super long time. I actually fell asleep a few hours while playing a game (I know, I know), and my SD was dead while the fan was still cooling away, even after having used it for a few hours already before falling asleep.
Something that may bother some people is where the charging port is (I actually prefer it being exactly where it is), but if it¡¯s an issue, there is a 90 degree charging adapter included. It takes a C-type charger, so if you¡¯re like me, your probably have a million of those cords lying around, but if you don¡¯t, it does come with a charging cord that fortunately is more than long enough to use it while it¡¯s charging (way too often the included cord is barely long enough to reach from the port to the block).
Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for! The price was within my budget, and its performance is excellent. There could be a couple things that bother others, but they¡¯re relatively small issues that don¡¯t bother me at all. I would definitely recommend purchasing one if you¡¯re looking for a good quality cooling fan for your Steam Deck!
