This is the 3rd JJDPARTS extendable shoe horn I've purchased (one as a gift, 2 for me to have in different parts of the house) and they work great! Before my first purchase, I was a bit concerned about other comments that said it wouldn't stay extended while in use, but that turned out to be not true. Very easy to extend/retract with the dots lined up and a gentle clockwise twist holds it firmly in place for use. The metal "horn" part is a must as every plastic shoe horn I've ever had has eventually broken. The JJDPARTS shoe horn I gave as a gift was to a nurse who operates a foot care clinic. After more than a year of heavy use it is still going strong. She loves it and I am very satisfied with this product! as well!
